The battery charge hack needs to have a warning. Never mix batteries and you shouldn't try to recharge non rechargeable batteries. The laptop hack looks handy though.

btw shorting even 2 aa batteries will add up to rly high crosscircuit amps. making aa's so hot that most of the time they start to leak and ruin your device, or even start an household fire. Hence you should allways chainge all batteries at sametime to new ones.

There are some misleading ideas here. The battery charger idea just pass some of the energy available in the fully charged batt to the empty one , and with a huge energy loss due to the nearly short circuit (clip-magnet metal circuit). The magnet itself does no more than holding the clip tight.

If you use a fully charged battery to charge an depleted battery, both batteries will end up 1/2 charge. In the end this is a total waste anyway, as most batteries, like the Alkaline shown, are not chargeable and the energy will be lost in chemical heat.

#1 Ehh... Kinda did that with some cardboard, a old fridge fan and a wall plug for the old 1st gen Playstation since it tended to overheat. #2 Just use some Velcro, no need to ruin a good gaming wheel. #3 Welp definitely not American as that was a Russian style plug. #4 Yaaa, apparently someone has no idea how electricity works, you were just running them in series which just shares their combined power allowing a greater amperage draw. It doesn't give the dead one any more power
