Aspirin thins the blood and keeps blood from clotting. It can be used to help prevent heart attacks and blockages in the arteries but consult your pharmacist or Cardiologist before starting a daily dose. That's quite an interesting experience! It’s surprising how medication regulations can vary so much from one country to another. The situation with baby aspirin needing a prescription and the limitation on Atorvastatin dosage are good examples of these differences. It's always a good idea to check local regulations when traveling and ensure you have enough medication for your trip. We're glad you were able to replace your prescriptions without too much hassle. If you have any concerns about your medication or dosage, make sure to consult your healthcare provider once you're back home. Stay healthy and safe on your travels!

@@HeartDiseaseCode I had more than enough for my trip. Unfortunately my meds were nowhere to be found when I arrived, and no where to be found when I returned home. I am not 100%, but it seems I heard or read that statins are banned in Japan. You can bring them in for personal use, but they are not prescribed.
