I wanna get a mad tanto. But hesitant because of the lock up failure on them. Im not gunna pay $80 for a knife i feel unsafe with.

I will re test mine. I can't remember the results. I think it passed though. I think that if it's a newer build from them it will be probably be good to go, but there's always a chance that even a few in particular might fail. But we have never heard that there is an issue with the design overall. Typically when there's mass failures it's a design flaw that everybody catches kind of like the one raccoon design. It's worth a shot to snag it because it's a good knife. Test it, If it passes keep it. If it don't you could send it back and try again or just get your money and be done
