This is one of the best videos I've seen on RDWC. Hit the nail on the head with respect to how important the water temp, airration, ph and ppm. PPM and ph for people that have small res tanks is horrible thats another big factor. Great video. Oh and dehumidifying also a big one. Excellent video. Definitely professional.

A lot of good info!! I'm on my first RDWC run, wk 2 day 3 of flower plants are looking real good. I've been doing water changes every week we'll it kinda seems like a waste of water and nutrients I'm glad I ran across your video on resivor water, if the PH is stable I should be able to just mix up the top off res I have sitting next to the main resivor to the same PH an add it.watching your video is going to save me a lot of money in nutrients and water thanks for the Awesome help 👊

Proper nutrients is a key as well, hydroponics does not work well with organics, I've always heard clear nutrients are important. You don't want murky sludgy water. Good break down 👍

One quick thing that I see so many people do. If you move your water chiller out of the room your ac does not have to work as hard. You are just removing the heat from your water and recirculating it back into your water and room .

great video! So, if you do not change your water, how do you balance the nutes in your water? For example, If plants are drinking more N than P or K and you keep feeding the same mixture every week, aren't your NPK levels going to be out of whack?

Hey bro, love the videos. Thanks for posting the free education. I'm just getting into growing and I'm planning my first hydro system. I really think I'm going with RDWC and a robust set up like you and a few other channels build. Question, do you use all food grade buckets? Is there a concern for BPAs or anything leeching into the plant, and if so, do we consume it if we smoke it?
@thewell-roundednovice8852
@thewell-roundednovice8852 Жыл бұрын
I do use food grade,but the concern is only with cleanliness and longevity really... non food grade is just more porous, so it gives bad bacteria and things like that a better place to hide and makes it harder to sterilize.... best of luck on your grow!

I have a bubble snake for making compost teas. I wonder how that would work instead of air stones. I just ordered a set of buckets for my first hydro grow.
@thewell-roundednovice8852
@thewell-roundednovice8852 7 ай бұрын
I'm guessing stones are better since they make smaller bubbles which make the water higher in dissolved oxygen
@aaronproctor4745
@aaronproctor4745 7 ай бұрын
@@thewell-roundednovice8852that’s what I was thinking. What had me thinking about the bubble snake is because it’s pvc, round and lasts forever. It’ll also put the bubbles out around the walls of the bucket, thought that may be a benefit due to the roots settling in the middle. But if if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Appreciate the content.
