Thanks for the advice 👍 Especially the parts about PMIs and HOAs. Sounds like your HOA is a scam! They charge a low monthly fee but nickel and dime you in fines for every little thing. And hopefully I can offer some advice, I mean this in the best way possible , if you have life partner who is petty and insecure enough to be upset with you for buying your own home, you probably don’t want to waste your time with them. You’re not doing anything wrong by investing in your future! Anyway thanks for all the tips

Great video. I also live in Florida and am looking at getting my first home, by myself. I'm using a VA loan, so no money down or PMI. The Orlando market is crazy right now. I'm just tired of paying high rent. $1500 for a 1 bedroom, that's just insane.

Honestly, this is just my opinion. But I like that HOA regulates our neighborhood. They also have landscapers who take care of our plants as well bc we live on the side of the neighborhood that doesn't have full sized yards. This is just my experience/opinion bc I know people hate on HOA. Ive seen non HOA where multiple vehicles stay parked for long periods of time or people use their front yard as a storage space. No hate at all if this is you. Avoid HOA at all means, but it does keep the neighborhood tidy. Our HOA isnt even that picky bc weve never had an issue. We also were able to get colors approved for our exterior even tho they did have pre selected options. Our biggest issues we had to deal with was an ac replacement and we have a severe pigeon infestation we have spend about 2k on so far 😢👍🏻 still on going. Pigeons droppings are acidic and can cause very bad issues on your roof. It's been hell lol

It depends on your state. I live in FL and the spouse would be entitled to half of it. Marry wisely 😝

No, in most cases. It’s a pre-martial asset. They would be entitled to half of the equity that is gained during the marriage.
