This was cool! On a frigate expedition (balanced if I remember correctly) my fleet encountered a "Vy'keen Death Cult", the only other description in the sitrep was "We granted their wishes" or something similar. I'd never seen this before and found it equally awesome and creepy!

Another great vid Kanaju. Was thinking about the whole "Bane of the Atlas" thing...what if the worm that we see in NMS is a visual representation of a literal worm-type computer virus? I have 0 lore to back this up, but it would do a little work in unifying Waking Titan with the rest of NMS.

You missed a minor detail/possible interpertation with the voice of freedom, the way some of the dialogue is phrased its possible that they haven't mistaken abyss for atlas, but rather are aware of both but believe the two to be one in the same.

That's a good thing to consider. Lately I've been thinking about how the Abyss and the Atlas are quite similar in some ways and I had a thought. I wonder if the crimson orb described in the abandoned building logs is actually the Abyss. The same with the crimson eye from the old narrative weekend missions. The imagery evokes the Atlas, but the circumstances are more sinister and dark. So perhaps the Abyss also manifests as a crimson orb in some cases, like a false god, taking the place of the Atlas. I once heard of a 'cult of the moon' from my settlement, they also mention the cult of the worm so I am pretty confident it exists.

Although, lore-wise and such, The Last Spawn seems to be very threatening and frightening, but if we talk gameplay-wise, well... Let's just say that my mega field of gas extractors, being on top of each other, hallmarks of solar panels, labyrinth-like base with S-rank on weapons, ships and freighter. Sentinel-upgraded minotaur and a sentient glowing football is gonna be what greets them. Call the ambulance, but not for me, I also got several defense chip with me in a heavily sentinel activity planet. All of this combined, my god, they ever come through a portal or ships and freighters, they have a hell of a party ahead. I can imagine my character just saying "Get off my system, ya geks!".

So, if the worms are some manifestations and messengers from the Atlas, and the different abyssal creatures are those from the Abyss, can we considerate the planets that have oceans as battlefields beteween the Atlas and the Abyss (moreover if these planets have heavy sane sentinel and corrupted sentinel activity)

As someone who feels bound to aid The Atlas and find enjoyment in fighting Sentinels with their salvaged equipment, it can be fun going to dissonance planets and just fighting every corrupted sentinel I see.Kind of just making sure things stay peaceful while purging the corrupted to shut them down. Even if they don't stop appearing.

still waiting for a customization with tentacles for the player character, I am a big big fan of the lovecraftian mythos, and I play no man's sky with a headcanon of there being cosmic horror. one might say I read too much into it, but I believe that the living ships and anomoly planets with living ship like plants represent no man's sky's version of eldritch beings, which brings me great joy when playing the game

Yes make desert worm plants that only enter and exit the plant through resource nodes. These nodes would be called a "spice blow" and it would have an animation where it spewed spice dust around it. You could mine it and use it to add an extra health upgrade or perhaps make you ninites.

I found a Titan Worm Planet that has spawning nests all over the planet, when a freak weather event happens, the nests erupt with 5 or 6 worms popping out of the ground and you can kill them. If you do the insects will also pop out of the ground and attack you. I built a base there to farm dissonance drill things. So sentinels chase me too.

I'm honored, Shawn. However, I'm sorry to say that I don't have the time to spare at present to commit to a build. In fact, I'm in the process of letting clients go over the next couple of months in order to free up my schedule. I'm hoping to bring everything into balance (design work and KZbin) by the beginning of next year. I can't even play No Man's Sky on a consistent basis outside of recording footage at the moment. I do wish you luck on your endeavor though. I know there are plenty of build-focused NMS KZbinrs who might be able to participate. I can give you a player cult that I’m the leader of,though I prefer you to not call it a cult. We are the Ashed Assassins,conquerors of systems. We are mainly present in the outer regions of the Euclid Galaxy in an unknown sector,with unknown star systems named and discovered by us(I know for sure it’s at least a 150 from just me alone). If you have seen a system that starts with “[ASH]” consider yourself lucky as out of millions of star systems you landed in ours,and out of millions of star systems NMS featured a weekend mission in one of our systems. Anyway, we are now expanding into other galaxies as I’m satisfied with Euclid’s success,however I want to get closer to the cores of galaxies for more recognition. I have successfully done this in 15 galaxies so far,including the famous Essintaine galaxy(I think). I establish a base in a planetary Archive on a lush planet(or exotic/mega exotic regular base) in each galaxy. I’m doing this until the 255th galaxy,to establish galactic presence. If anyone is interested,friend me on Ps5 yt991980. For now we are a cult,but we will later be an empire(think of the Galactic Empire of Star Wars. That’s us basically :) ).
