Just picked up this game last week. Came across a "lava planet" that looked exactly like scorched planets... I was hoping for roiling oceans of lava, but nope. Hope they bring variety to the various biomes. One ice planet feels like every ice planet ever and so forth. For instance, adding extensive, flat ice oceans would make them stand apart, or cryo volcanoes

I found a real cool volcanic planet actually, its like, pink, all of the lave, its pink, its super cool Edit: upon further consideration, its a dissonant world lol, but the pink lava is still awesome

70 hours in and have only gained an S class dreadnought and unique natural S class ship. Have hardly touched anything else lol.

3:24 im only 50hrs in, but i thought this too lol. Like otherwise, you dont need to spend much units and nanites to buy like half of the upgrades i would say. If you have friegther(which is free first time when save freighter from pirates), hire scientist to work on terminal and he will give you mission and unlocks 2-3 product, upgrades for you anything, even structure. Im not saying i got millionaire, but ive got quite nanites and units that ive no urge to spend. Only had to buy something from anomaly if i really had to.

As a Minecraft player, I don't bother mining. But buying resources is sometimes necessary if you're too lazy to mine or if you have lots of money.

My first few hours is to mine tons of ferrite, carbon, di-hydrogen, and find as many of the little burning pods for nanites. Once I have enough nanites, I look for a S grade scanner module. Then I start scanning everything for money, getting more nanites for discovering all the critters. Buy 2 more S grade scanner modules, and you are set for credits the rest of the game. Seriously, you get 200-300k or more per scan. Its easy. After that, I buy almost all the materials I need, except when I randomly need something super specific. Next S class module I focus is Hyperdrive. Seriously, get 3 of those ASAP for easy navigation.

Another tip here! Two actually! Letting the mining laser cook to almost overheating makes it do more damage, so keeping it hot and just about to overheat (by tapping it on and off while its hot) means you chew through those trees and rocks a lot faster! And speaking of resource gathering, T and R (on PC) adjust the size of the terrain manipulator, but the size of the blast doesn't change how much material you get back from it. So, making the beam large means the resource node is gone quick, but your sloppiness will cost a lot of the material. If you shrink the beam down and take your time, one node produces A LOT more of that material!

The royal multi tools arent only just c class and they arent too rare for me i got an a class first sentinel pillar and on my third one i got another so either im really lucky or the game has changed the rarity

Planets with low to no atmosphere have also lower gravity. Take Earth's moon for example. No atmosphere and the gravity is 1/6 of Earth's gravity.

the intercepter is without a doubt the best ship for exploration. everything is much cheaper as most things dont require the normal fuel source but instead they need radiant shards with are very easy to get in dissonent planets. the hyperdrive only needs a single radiant shard for 100% fuel which is great. the launchers also have 8 launches instead of the usual 4.
