I love the “When It All Began” videos…I don’t recognize Ken but enjoy watching him in your videos. And I don’t see “the gang” to often together like this. Seems like good times for you. The hardships endured from weather, geography and often our own dimwittedness are far surpassed by the peaceful relaxing time we spend in natures beauty with our closest friends & family around us….Camping adventures with Carl 2022….

Apparently Killarney will do that to you! I was near hypothermic on our Killarney trip last May from the 9th to 13th. Did a trip in the northern section going from lake Penache down through Howry Creek and Murray lake. It poured for 4 of the 5 days we were there along with cold gusts of wind on the larger lakes. Fell near hypothermic on the first night - lesson learned. Having 2 large dogs and my Husband with me helped big time for body heat, they're companions that I will always bring along! The last day on our way out was the nicest day we could have asked for....too bad we were leaving. Cheers!

Watching this in 2019. Joe, your videos have come a long way. Can't believe you took a 6 day canoe trip and only posted a 22 minute video. You are so serious in this compared to now. I much prefer your style now, but this was good too. I enjoy all of your videos.

I seem to have watched your newest vid's first. This older vid shows a nice transition to some of your more hardcore work. The videography is more basic but the core theme of getting out there and doing it is well presented. Ontario totally rocks.

Another great one Joe! So when you going to be on the Discovery Channel? I think you could be! I have one tip for your videos. You should try setting your titles to a more targeted description so you're ranked higher on search engines. An example for this video, I would title it as "Killarney Provincial Park" or "Killarney Provincial Park Canoe Trip" and in the sub heading add in all the details such as "6 day canoe trip etc." Also setting your video tags correctly help alot. Just wanted to share some thoughts so you can get paid for all your work you do.

Just a tip for video with the DSLR: Set your aperture to something larger, like f/10 or so and it will be more in focus. Also, if you're going to shoot yourself talking, you can focus on a tree and then stand next to it just to make sure the focus is on. Nice video, keep up the good work joe.

Have you ever went primitive camping in just random wood? if so can you give me some pointers on what to do far as the dangers of randomly picking woods to go in?
@josephallen1910 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have. Just make sure nobody will be hunting while you are there, and that someone knows where you will be. Other than that, I wouldn't be worried about dangers, just the normal camping stuff. Make sure there are no widowmakers above where you set up camp, if there are bears in the area, hang your food. Have fun, bro!
