Another thing I've found with down guns at ledge is sometimes when the opponents roll from ledge it catches their roll, allowing you to follow up and get them back off stage.

for anyone that isn’t good at this game, here is a simple combo I use on friends sometimes: Down attack, up attack while they are in the air, jump and catch them with up aerial and follow up with whatever feels right for the situation

question 1 and 2 can be hopefully answered in their respective guides (nair guide and tether guide). question 3, bulletstorm stops automatically, just dont hit the b button and it will stop after a certain amount of shots (3 shots for down guns)

@@CozyyPR Hmmm... Thanks I guess, maybe I'm just holding it and that's the issue? you kinda gotta hit multiple shots to secure a kill with gun offstage. What I did find (I may be wrong because I did some more tests with no outcome), but if you run out of jumps and use bulletstorm you can't cancel out of it. Bulletstorm is the #1 leading cause of SD'ing for me.

i feel like the hitbox isnt as consistent as down guns, since u obviously also shoot up and while landing the opponent will probably be below you, so that might leave you vulnerable. but every now and again as a mixup could be useful!

Nice video as always! I am looking for my first main to stay with for at least a year. I am thinking about Roy, Cloud, or Marth. Joker is also an option, but I think he might be too precise for me to start out with. What I look for in a character is kill power, the capability to significantly rush-down the opponent, and a decent recovery and out of shield option. I have had previous experience with Joker, but I never played seriously. Do you recommend any character?

cloud and marth fit that category pretty well! i feel like cloud fits a bit better although his recovery is a bit more exploitable than Marth while offstage, but it’s a really good OoS option for sure, along with Up Smash! joker is obviously another good fit for this but he is a bit more complicated to use than cloud or marth in my opinion 👍🏽

@@priyavraman Roy is a good fit as well since his gameplay is mostly very aggressive and his recovery is decent. due to how Marth is designed, he's one of the best characters to start off with to develop fundamentals such as spacing (tippers), zoning, and playing patient with a more bait and punish type of game.

You know how the down gun can be canceled out of a double jump into back air or fair1. It's super hard to get consistently especially when you try to follow up the fair1 into drag down down smash. Any tips on how to do it?

its all practice really, make sure to not hold the B button or else you’ll get stuck in down guns! if you double jump and down gun at the peak of your jump, it should stop just before hitting the ground, allowing you to act out of it right before landing! keep practicing! 💪🏽

to do a reverse back air you have to do either an Attack Cancel or a Reverse Aerial Rush! i cover them both in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWnYYXWpfZKgarM. and jumps/hops are the same thing, but you can shorthop or fullhop and it just depends on how long u hold the jump button for, if u quickly tap and release you get a shorthop and if u hold it a bit longer u get a fullhop! 👍🏽

@@CozyyPR Just watched, thank you. So in short his only real weakness (other than his tether/wings of rebellion) is that he's such a good character people get complacent (like burning double jump to land with guns and spamming counter to get out of disadvantage)

depends on character weight, % and DI. on floaties its not really consistent but fast fallers and heavies are susceptible to this.

Oh and I found two gun slide setups. On battlefield, full hop gun can gun slide on the platform. Unova Pokémon League, run off platform and you can gun slide. Edit: When I say setups, I mean a consistent way to perform it. I found two more setups. 1) Mash gun after a full hop then slide after the second shot. The other set up is full hop up air, double jump back air, then gun slide.

you pretty much just have to try new things, if ur not playing for anything on the line (money or a tournament match) winning or losing really doesnt matter! just take it as practice and try out new things u maybe don’t do, to get used to them and add more stuff into your game. also playing for long periods of time will usually lead to autopiloting, so make sure to take breaks every now and again to avoid burning out!
