Hello @Waveriderz-, I really appreciate you taking the time to watch the video and share your experience. I'm sorry to hear about the stiffness in your jaw. While I wish I could provide specific advice, it's important for me to note that without a physical examination, I cannot give individualized medical opinions. Jaw stiffness can result from various causes, and a healthcare professional would need to assess you to determine the right course of action.

My right ear is blocked due to tmj. Is anyone feeling the same? Does it get better?
@kinetichealthonline Жыл бұрын
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing these symptoms. TMJ disorders can indeed lead to a variety of symptoms, including ear discomfort such as a feeling of blockage, pain, or even ringing in the ears (tinnitus). This happens due to the close anatomical relationship between the temporomandibular joint and the structures of the ear. Many people have found relief from TMJ-related ear symptoms with consistent practice of the right exercises, lifestyle modifications, and sometimes professional therapeutic interventions. That being said, everyone's journey with TMJ disorders is unique and the response to treatment can vary from person to person. If you haven't already, I recommend you consult with a healthcare professional who can provide a comprehensive evaluation and personalized treatment plan. This could be a dentist, an oral surgeon, or a physical therapist with expertise in TMJ disorders, depending on the available resources in your area. If you're already doing TMJ exercises, remember to perform them gently and consistently. These exercises aim to relax the muscles around the jaw, reduce tension, and improve joint function. If you experience increased pain or if your symptoms persist, please do seek professional medical advice. Again, while my videos provide a general understanding and tools for managing certain conditions, they are not a substitute for professional medical advice, particularly in situations where symptoms persist or worsen. I hope this response is helpful. I wish you the best on your recovery journey.

@kinetichealthonline2 жыл бұрын
Hi Myriam, this is not for hypertrophy of the masseter muscle. "Masseter hypertrophy is a rare condition. It is mostly idiopathic with no known cause. It is recognized as an enlargement of one or both masseter muscles." I would check with your practitioner to see if this exercise program is appropriate. That is being said, I have a few patients with masseter asymmetry who have benefited from this routine. Cheers

Can TMJ get worse? I wear a bite guard every night, but I'm miserable. I keep being told by my doctor that I have sinusitis, and maybe I do, but my TMJ is so bad, my left side of my face is numb sometimes, and my ear is so full and clogged feeling. I wish I could find a doctor that looked at EVERYTHING and don't just jump on an idea and treats me for one thing. Thank you for these exercises, I'll start doing them and hopefully they help!
@Hand0verFist2 жыл бұрын
If it's not sinitus consider orthodontics as it could be your bite? I'm starting invisallign cos I grind/clench a lot and have an open bite. It may not fix all my symptoms but it might. I mainly suffer from headaches and jaw pain. I don't wear a night guard. I feel it made me worse as I end up biting that instead. I had a custom splint built $3000. These protect your teeth but in my opinion cause more pain. Take care
