Tip for reference tracks: if you have something on your master track DO NOT route reference tracks to master. Switch the routing to your hardware output 1/2.

Very good tip! That will make using references muchhh easier when mastering

It's better if you set a premaster where you route all your tracks/groups/etc and all your plugins and then you can set some analizer plugins on master, to check reference and your track.

Great set of tips! Get keyboard maestro and map every shortcut that requires 2/3 keys to press to f1,f2,f3 etc. Or map them to any single key presses. Add karabiner to use your modifier keys ( command, shift, control, option ) as f13,f14,f15,f16 on press and release. Or mouse clicks.

Cmd+3 sets the grid to triplet, no need to turn off grid to get a triplet swing.

Well done again for the space at the start I will do it also. I am not sure it is a good thing to erase the locator it is important for coherent automation in the chorus and stuff. Thanks again

Here's a workflow tip: Cmd+F, type what you're looking for. Stop hunting and clicking through folder hierarchies.

Hi! Do you know shortcuts for audio editing in Ableton in order to compete with Protools workflow? 😊

somesting strange: on my mac the cmd grid off is not working for the selection of the starting point. The starting point is always falling onto grid while pressing cmd and only the end point can be set arbitrarily.

ABLETON IS AWESOME. WOW! THANKS MAN. QUICK QUESTION....HOW DO YOU GET THE TITLE OF THE EFFECT TO SHOW. MY REVERB/DELAY RETURNS SHOW BUT THE INDIVIDUAL TRACKS DO NOT.
@atkimusic
@atkimusic 3 жыл бұрын
They all show in the chain. Unless you have a separate track/send for the fx they won't show their title in the mixer but instead in the chain of that track you're applying processing on.

Hey EDM Prod! Whenever I try to clear the names of the files like you do in the mixing view with CMD + R then SPACE, it is simply not working for me. It seems I have to do it one by one. Anything I am doing wrong? Thanks for the great content! Justin
@EDMProd
@EDMProd 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Justin, Renaming clips is very temperamental, and it has changed a bit with some of the recent updates too. If the clips are the exact same length and you have NO empty space on the timeline highlighted, you can rename them with CMD+R then Space. If you want to rename your whole arrangement to get rid of all the names I would recommend highlighting everything, going into the clip view (Shit Tab) then right clicking where it says the amount of clips (e.g. 22 Clips), clicking rename then hitting Space. This will remove all the clip names too

It's not to like it's a lot to absorb. What we mean by "a lot" 💫🤔🥴💥🤣 to much information for 10Xs viewing. But thank you because it is quite useful 😆😆 keep the tutorials coming but Please just do a 5 minute or so vid on setting up a digital piano for old school writers like us) so we can just record 🎹 and layer after we understand how to record it and play back and hear it lol

hahaha ... Ich HAVE to write it in your comments: I was betting, which Short-Cut is your most used :D And I was so unbelievable sure, that it HAS to be "CMD + Z" :D :D :D I named Tracks after this :D Its by far the most shortcut I used in my Life :D And now I'm really concerned aber this :D hahaha. And I never used "SHFT- TAB" ever in my life. And I think I spent nearly the last 25 Years in front of Ableton (more or less :) ) Great, how music AND the creators are different. I love it!! Great. I had to stop watching this Video and had to finish my project. Everybody knows this :D It's like a Junkie. But I will come back, Luca.. I like your thoughts and how you explain things. See you soon.
