Great vid as always Jake! I have both the Vans Ultrarange EXO and EXO SE. The Ultrange EXO SE model quite literally solves all the problems with the synthetic regular EXO since the upper is suede and there’s added rubber layers on stress points. After a week of breaking them in, the toe box stretches and forms to my EE width feet and the overall suede upper construction gets more form fitted to my foot anatomy. Highly recommend trying them out as they feel just as comfortable (if not more) and in my experience more durable at the sacrifice of being less breathable.

@@dy-han ayyy, love that feedback. I don’t get why vans doesn’t just make the SE option the only option for this line, tbh. What shoe are you currently training in?

Good timing for this video. I'm in the middle of considering my new travel shoe. I tried ONs and didn't like the fit. I'm going to try AllBirds next. If the AllBirds don't work out, I'll try either the Vans or the Strike recommended by Jake.

Allbirds are going to interesting for ya, imo. Keep me posted. I'll save my opinions for you to try em!

Very timely video considering I have a few trips coming up. The Vans might be perfect for when I go to When We Were Young Fest if they aren't too narrow for me. But I'll have to try them in a store. F-Lites are fire even though I sized mine wrong. Probably need to order them again in the right size and sell the old pair.

That's going to be such a sick show! If Vans made a wide model of this iteration we'd be cooking with gas!

@@jonathanmelendez2828 lone peak 7/8/timps had that tpu peel. I’ve had friends who are into trail running stop using Altra for the same reasons. I always ask folks on trails when I see them and it always seems to be pretty split ngl. Some never have issues, others have issues wicked fast - no in between The solstice XT 2 have held up well for me, but a lot of others have had issues with the outsole lipping and I see that being problematic as well because of the materials. Mention it in my review

Haze Trainers, UltraRange EXO, or Lems Primal Zen for casual everyday use - long walks, standing, etc? I've got two pair of Haze Trainers and I love them. BUT my older pair is just over 2 years old and finally needing to be replaced.
@thatfitfriend2 ай бұрын
I'm a big fan of not fixing things that aren't broken, tbh. I think if you're loving the Haze, then I'd stick with them and get a colorway you vibe with.

Any recommendations for an all around shoe for rainy weather ? Mainly running and going to the gym.
@thatfitfriendАй бұрын
When you say going to the gym, do you mean lifting and cross-training? Also, how much mileage are you running? This will help dictate which models will be best.

@@thatfitfriend About 4 miles, I'm looking to be able to squat/leg press/deadlift on them. The most important thing is the weather resistance

I have the Ultrarange Exo and they are definitely good looking. But I didn't find them to be as comfortable to walk around and explore a new city while traveling. Do you think the Inov8 F Fly would be a better option to walk around 15km a day?
