Close Combat! And I think you started with one of the best ones tbh. I also like the look of Destiny of the World. Had never heard if it :)

The Troop. It’s available on Steam. A little bit pricey compared to older games . If you can get past the cost, you’ll find solid gameplay.

Have it on the Wishlist! Great suggestion :)

Not quite wargames, but in a future list mentionjng Strategy games, I would love to see "The Heroic Legend of Eagarlnia" and "Lost Technology" mentioned. Found this channel, and been absolutely adoring the content. I have already added so much to my Steam wishlist

Gunner Heat…. Spent hours with this one… a great trip down memory lane from the effervescent LTG… lovely stuff 🐸❤️✅

No idea how I missed Atlantic Fleet when it came out, bceuase it sounds like it is right up my alley. Really wish for more good naval games. I still remember Harpoon (1989) and never seen anything like it again. Or something like Wooden Ships & Iron Men (The board game version, though I do know there were two computer games made). Some other nice picks as well. Close Combat is always a solid choice, as others have said it still is the best RTS WW2 strategy has to offer. Radio Commander is also a great game on an often neglected time and area. Alea Iacta Est and Destiny of the World also look like they are worth a look (You hate my wallet, why?). Thanks again for this list!!

For me on very forgotten game was Force 21 from Red Storm Entertainment, released way back in 1999 it's a has an automatic difficulty which make the 15 missions very hard to pass but it's very good and very underrated

Any game of the "Combat Mission" series is also allways a welcome addition in these kinds of list. 😇

Theatre of War is a game I returned to multiple times over the years. I still have the CD's but it seems like some ppl on steam have problems to run it.

Nothing in the history of real time video war gaming ever close to match the authenticity of the Close Combat series!

We agree! A modern remake without needing to go 3D would be welcomed :)

@@LTGamingKZbin question...how are the new versions? Worth it or better go for old? And by the way...i bought Atlantic Fleet and i am super happy!!
@LTGamingYoutube8 ай бұрын
@@chrissenn4474 that's awesome! Yeah the remakes are good and run at great resolution. I have heard some AI issues but tbh I'm playing all of them! Panthers in the Fog is good 🚀 the older games are on sale on GOG!

Close Combat II (the Arnhem one, i was playing that in about 1998...) and III are excellent. Something seems a bit lacking in the more recent games such as 'Gateway to Caen'. I think it is the AI which, counter-intuitively, is now worse than in the original games. The AI is impressive in II and III. I wish i could get CCII to run on my PC!!
@LTGamingYoutube8 ай бұрын
Yes the AI does seem odd in the remakes! It runs for me on GOG?

Thanks for your excellent coverage of Destiny of the World! This WEGO (simultaneous turn-based) game that combines serious depth with ease of play hits the sweet spot for me with WW2 Grand Strategy.

I am trying to find an old game which was starting with a stationary american howitzer shooting down incoming trucks or whatever else on next stages. It had realistic shaders and probably released between 2000 and 2008, anyone can remember this game?

I'd love a game like Gunner Heat PC on Xbox. I've no interest in the unrealistic free for all like World of Tanks.
@sunnyjim13558 ай бұрын
I always just totally disregard anything a console player has to say about PC games; like, why would I take any notice of a blind man's opinion about a Rembrandt? 🤷♂
@katrinapaton52838 ай бұрын
Your analogy makes no sense. Now, a kindergarten students opinion about a Rembrandt maybe, because they can see it but they can't understand it or hope to replicate it. You're welcome.

Steel Beasts is the best in mho of tank Sims. GHPC is ok but not as immersing as SB. Panzer Elite was also a good one too.
