As someone that watches the hawks religiously the problem with John Collins is there are just people on the team that do what he does better. John is usually a solid shooter (though he can’t buy a 3 this year) but there are just better shooters to get open. He’s a great PnR big and lob threat but the issue is Capela is better than John at it so Capela gets more lobs. It’s just hard to think of plays for John when there are better options.
@ThaTruth2232 жыл бұрын
lmfao this is such a lazy ass cop out to how horrid that organization has treated one of their young players who had a shit ton of upside. yes blame John because “there better options” when he himself averaged over 20 ppg, maybe if they actually ran fuckin plays and not just dribble dribble dribble then maybe John could actually get in the offense

However he averaged 20 when the hawks were dogshit and he was the only other good player besides Trae. Dejounte, Capela, Bogi, etc. we’re not on the team yet so he had a much higher usage. The reason CJ McCollum stats are down is because he’s the primary ball handler on the first unit every single time down the floor. You don’t think that would get exhausting? Guys a certified hooper this is just disrespectful

Klay isn't a shell of his former self. He is just taking his time and will be back to at least 80% of his former self with some time.

It's a shame that D'Angelo Russell was a star during his Nets years and became a journeyman after moving to the Warriors and Wolves.

I don't think Powell is falling off, I think there's just better players at his position

CJ just dropped 42 on 11 made threes, sometimes players just start the season slower than usual and ball out eventually. CJ literally hasn’t had an under 20ppg season in 9 years and he’s posting career best averages in assists and rebounds this year.. People really gotta stop acting like scoring and efficient shooting is the basis of how to judge a player, disrespectful to the game man.

That D-lo/Wiggins trade just keeps getting worse for the T-wolves and then they go and overpay for Gobert. T-wolves fans must be pissed right now. Hopefully they can figure it out

McCollum and DLo suffer almost the same problem: both are undersized guards who hurt their teams even more when their offensive efficiency drops because it can’t be used to compensate for their leaky defense.
@SirANK82 жыл бұрын
Also both the Wolves and Pelicans this season have a big paint threat that they didn’t have last season which clogs up the space and makes defences pay more attention to their jump shots.
@gugi44772 жыл бұрын
Dlo has good size for a guard, nearly 6'5 with a large wingspan
@SirANK82 жыл бұрын
@@gugi4477 good size, but is slow so can’t really burst to the rim, or get back on the defensive end unless he’s behind the line.

I don’t even need to watch the video to let everyone know that whatever he said about CJ McCollum is 🧢. The man is definitely a leader for NOLA and shows up big on a nightly basis. Keep the bs, I don’t wanna hear it 🙉
@ajevans14222 жыл бұрын
Say what you want but JC and Clint find more ways to be impactful outside scoring. Capela has been still a double double guy and a real good anchor and JC has been having his best defensive season. They have a 106 defensive rating together. I’m not concerned for Collins.
