Nice recipe and cake. When measuring flour and sugar, use a dry measuring cup instead of a liquid measuring cup for better accuracy. All in all, you did a great job.

Want to add the purple dye too. I know i need help last one was made with very little butter, butter milk, and sour cream. I have the same pan nice heavy pan...which molds mini pound cake to a medium large size pound cake. Used bakers joy didn't spray enough in the pan. The taste perfect i just needed to thicken up the spray makes me cough. Amen Amen

Looks like regular sugar used after the baking spray.

From what I read it has a finer crumb. Which I personally enjoy for pound cakes. If you choose to substitute, I would recommend checking the proper use for different recipes.

yeah, no baking powder. The recipe I followed didn't call for it. I was just as surprised. 😄

The Recipe I was following didn't call for Baking powder. I like to find recipes online and just follow them as much as possible.

I too bake. The 6 eggs serve as leavening agents (which makes the cake rise) Most pound cakes can be made with or without baking powder/soda. Happy bakimg! 🙂
