Brazil is not a Latino country, our culture is different, a Carnival in Brazil is very different from a Carnival in Colombia or Venezuela or Argentina, and most of the times when there is some similarity is just this countries imitating brazilian carnival, we also have other festivals which are unique to Brazil. Our culture overall is more african than any other country in Ibero America, but at same time we're also more european than almost all the countries in Ibero America except for Uruguay and Argentina. Our culture is also more cosmopolitan very similar to the concept of "melting pot" that exists in the US. Brazil is different from the Latino countries just like Portugal is not the same as Spain, or the US doesn't have the same culture as England, despite being their colony.

Our culture is the mix between LATIN traditions and native traditions, we mixed them, changed them, create new culture, etc... and obviously the nationality it's not enough, if you have the nationality but don't know anything about latino you are other gringo to us, the same if you don't even have that nationality and still don't know anything about latin america. and i know the differences between race, culture, nationality and ethnicity, but you guys in the usa are obsessed with it. and yes, if you have the culture, the language, the traditions and you have lived in latin america you are like any other latino, we don't care where are you from, but how you embraced the culture and know about our culture, i mean we don't even use the word latino in our countries, in fact a lot of people HATE other countries, like, look at chile, chile literally fought with all of its neighboring countries
