Hey guys, I'm back early from my trip sadly due to a covid lockdown but I had fun with family and friends whilst it lasted. :) I've still got a couple episodes pre-recorded so I'll be alternating them with the barbarian season. Because we aren't recruiting this series I don't feel its fair to accept name suggestions for the party, so we'll just keep with the original names of the brothers. Sorry for that, but I'll still keep your name suggestions for the main series (and the next series we recruit in) and we'll be happy to have you in our party when that happens. Hope you enjoy the seasons!

Something I've noticed in your videos, is student really all that useful to take first level up every time? For example, in a fight here, ypur evoker gained you 21 xp from student but taking magic missile would make them more useful now and had they killed a thug with it, they wouldve have gained them 30. Or made one of the bros you said you were going to take colossus on more survivable to protect against roll variance. I feel like getting from 200 xp to 500 xp (level 2-3) 20% faster isn't as significant as getting from 1000 to 2000 (4-5) but colossus or whatever perk can help make sure the bro lives or does more in the first few levels. Depending on how I'm building a bro, I like to take it from level 4-6, when 20% is gaining a few hundred and cutting a whole fight or two from what they need to level. Thats just my 2 cents though; you're definitely more experienced with the game and I may be missing something.

That is a valid and good question man. I am unfortunatley a creature of habit and sometime I just do things because of what I'm used to. Student as a first perk is a habit of mine on bros that I care about (when I have fodder on my team I don't usually give them student) The downsides, as you say, from student is you are forfeiting a potentially good early perk for faster xp gains. Now I personally believe power-spikes are critical to the battle brothers gameplay (both the stat gains from levelling as well as the perk combos and just higher tier perks in general). As low level bros aren't much to shake a stick at. It's only in the mid-to-late levels that some bros can hit strong power spikes to allow them to hold their own and wreck the battlefield and my 'go-to' is trying to get my highest potential bros there as fast as I can. Sadly yes, this does sacrifice some early game power/utility but most tier 1 perks (that you'd take instead of student) aren't always going to be as useful (unless you get really good ones like nine-lives, or fast adaptation) Hope this helps explain how I just mindlessly push for student whenever I can on good bros.

@@TheIndomitableSnowman Somewhat off topic, but in any of your series have you done any of the favored enemy beast 4 star quests? A bit ago, I was able to take out some hex coven leaders I found in the wild with two skin ghouls, a rock unhold, three white wolves and four red backs and it wasn't TOO bad so I took one of the quests for skin ghouls (saved beforehand) and there were 24 skin ghouls and I got annihilated so hard. Just curious how/if people do these.

@@HandFullofCheese I have done 4-star quests before for many different enemies. However, when it comes to legendary enemies I haven't done as many (for the obvious reason they hurt... haha) Skin ghouls are, unfortunately, not my forte and I don't have good experience with beating/fighting them soz. I'd assume to bring as many nets as you can and maybe some maces to stun them? Also axes and cleavers do wreck when fighting non-armoured enemies so that combo with mace-stuns could be good I think. However, legendary enemies aren't a simple fight and will always wreck your party till you get a good strat down. Hope this helps at least a little bit :)

You should be able to. I think I've had a couple unlock whilst playing legends :)

i used same game seed the map is same but my characters not same as you play :/ im also using legends mode do you know why ?

Double check the version you are using (this is an older version, 8b) The version will change characters because of perk changes and such.
