On Glorious quickness, I think it actually offers a lot of utility when it goes alongside Berserk. Having just 1 more action point opens a lot of options. In many situations, the 1AP will let you reposition 1 hex further. You can also do whacky things like quickhands from a two-hander into a one-hander for two extra hits, or vice-versa. I feel it's nice and unique for this brother specifically that offers interesting builds and tactical options you don't usually get. It's definitely a build-around trait instead of a straight benefit though.

Yeah, I did mention the interaction/reliance on berserk. I guess it could just give you that extra tile of movement and that could be a useful 'chase-down' or 'reposition' utility in combat. But I think that's a little less valuable than berserk itself. Still, you do have a point to give more value to Glorius Quickness and it's maybe a C-tier in the best situations. (still super situational, and I'd rather have the other C-tiers tbh as they're more reliable, but still, as you say, maybe some tactical options from that to make a slight difference) :)

it's not 'bad', but it's at its most effective around the 50% chance to hit mark where it will tilt the odds to about a 49.5% chance to hit in your favor over time

@@Btobebone It's a sliver of 'green'. And as mentioned, respectfully a "C-tier". But I personally don't want to get people's hopes up that it's a useful/effective/good trait. Because it isn't :) (e.g. a 0.1% advantage is an advantage, just not a very good one)

@@TheIndomitableSnowman I still wouldn't put it so low. Most other traits in that tier are a direct detriment to any build, Lucky isn't a detriment it's just kind of there. You're not throwing a Bro in the trash if he has lucky and I believe there's some good events with the trait. Should be D or C, someone that looks at this tierlist and isn't experienced may come to think that a great Bro with Lucky should be in the bin. Edit: Much how like you put Team Player in the same tier. Team player is great as it makes skills like round swing not hit your own units, If you have a 2h wall and hitting the two dudes in front of you is a massive play but you have a bro to your left, Team player helps with it missing your buddy.

Glad you revamped this video! Some other videos I'd like to see are what mods to use, expansion of your build guides to magic, bards, cooks, supports, etc., how to do the secret things of the game like put together the best weapon, showing what armor and traits go best with each build, and more videos that are a "faster" look at your runs like you have been doing that are about 1+ hours long instead of 8+ hour long segments. Keep up the great work!

I absolutely don’t agree about strong, cause it also basically gives you a free 10 initiative and that’s just great for doge and medium armor bros. and it also has some good events where strong bro can get even more fat. For me it’s one of the best in line with iron lungs cause it gives you + 20 stats. At least solid A tear.

Understandable, as "strong" does give a decent amount of stats, per say. However, the stats aren't as valuable as others above it, but maybe an argument could be made for it to be B-tier for different builds and bros :) (also that event for the +1 fatige only works if you have 2 strong bros and they can only get a max of +2, so not super amazing imo)

if you've played a lot of tabletop games with dice rolling in the past, you recognize the trap of lucky. on a 5% chance to hit, assume you got attacked 4,000 times. 200 of those attacks would hit, lucky would trigger 20 times and would stop 19 of those attacks. so 19 helps out of 4000. 50% chance to hit, same 4000 attacks, 2000 miss outright, 200 lucky procs, stopping 100 attacks out of 4000 attempts 90% chance to hit means 200 miss outright, 380 lucky procs that will stop roughly 38 of the 4000 attempts

Quick deserves more love that what you were giving it, it's basically the better light weight for bros who fight and deal damage in melee About 2-3 level ups of initiative without downsides It's better to finish off enemies than to have them survive longer and making more attacks against you They should at least be in the same tier, both are good and depending on the bro either one could be the better trait Especially if Spartan is in the good tier as well xD

I can understand the love for quick, but it isn't that impactful imo. For dodge/overwhelm bro it's nice, but a general +10 speed for a normal bro doesn't do that much tbh. Enemies are almost always paced farrrr above your bros where only bros that are build with speed will see consistant chances to out-pace enemies. Building speed bros or grabbing perks like adrenaline will achieve that successfully while +10 init won't dent the pace of the battle. I don't think light & quick are of the same value, especially for a dodge/overwhelm (let's just ignore the normal bros, as init. is not really valuable for them anyways) +10 vs +20 is definitely a nice difference for a dodge/overwhelm bro. the +10% dmg (although daunting) isn't that bad of a detriment if you're considering the extra speed it gives that is convertable to out-speeding your enemy for an extra hit, and the extra defence from dodge (or medium armour's balance) "killing enemies faster" is a good way to look at the game, but it cannot be looked at in a 'bubble'. having a team of only 2h axes for max damage, isn't going to win you every fight. Defence & utility is there to pick up the slack when dps fails you. (e.g. lindwurms, noble fights, undead fights, even some greenskin fights) TLDR: light is better than quick when looking at dodge/overwhelm, both light and quick are only b/c tier because they're situationally helpful. The tier-list is looking at traits as a whole, for the entire roster of bros in the game. Gotta remember, initiative only really helps dodge/overwhelm and light/quick is barely doing anything outside of that :) (soz for the ramble, but wanted to give you the full explanation behind the reasoning as I couldn't ramble too much in the vid haha

Eagles Eyes should not be D tier. I could understand not putting it in B, but it has to be at least in C. It has no downsides. Better that than no trait at all, even if it is outclassed by other traits. You also have to consider the fact that it takes the place of potentially worse traits too Same thing with Lucky, Swift, and Glorious Quickness (especially this one, since it doesn't even replace another trait. It has NO downsides, why is it bad?)

Anyone tried the Old Swordmaster Campaign yet? Its from the PTR mod for legends and pretty fun. You are an old sword master and try to train new recruits in your craft before old age eats away at you, and you become weak and fragile. The new skills are half the fun. Most figths are a walk on a tight rope, the line between totally dominating and being massacred thin, at least on expert.

Having at least 1 Lucky in the early game is very good, or at least used to be. I used to get arming swords and early mail (layer 1) gear with it.

That's understandable. Lucky can help find small items to help but the retired soldier giving out a free arming sword and mail layer isn't tied to the "Lucky" trait though, that's just a event for everyone :)

Lucky is just straight up variable amount of Melee and Range Defence and i think only way to go below 5% chance to be hit. Nothing false about it. Also how often you dont take any fatigue for your chars if you value 10 Fat below 5 resolve for example. Additional actions points are never bad. Clearly better than all negative traits you grouped it with. Bloodthirsty has nice interaction with one perk that restores action points on fatalities. Would love to see your take on perks

I've had two slingers with "Impatient" and 110+ Ranged Skill. They would constantly get 1 or 2 kills, (depending on enemies and RNG) right before the actual fight even begins. Quite strong overall.

I think the -30% for fleeing is only for the base stats which isn’t so bad at least early game. You might have 5-10 mdef on a bro, which is reduced by like 2 or three, but with a shield you get like an extra unmodified 15 or higher, and weasel you also just get a flat 25

Those %-modifiers are not just for base-stats sadly :( Fleeing in combat really tanks your current stats but the boost for weasel is still helpful in a pinch when you need some more luck going your way :)

In my opinion all negative traits deserve the AXE tier, if its D tier or lower DECAPITATE and find another bro. I'd rather slow down my campaign to train a new bro then stick around with those who can potentially wipe your entire party, not just them selves. Besides bro's die all the time, and sometimes you should help a bro out, by hastening the process!

Fear/hate for undead is way worse then any other one. Hit chance matters way more in undead fights as well as fear checks that can lead to death. IF you can get disloyal as well as Undead hater, you don't have to have them in your line all the time and try to build as a bro who can flank around undead and kill blue berries or mancers. You don't put much on them because if they die they die. They did what you had them for.

I can see why "undead fear" could be worse than the other 3, because of the presence of screams. However, the main factor to fight undead is the presence of a good bannerman in your party (with rally ofc) and maybe some other supporting help too. (having less-than-desirable morale is common in BB and in undead fights it's mitigated by the banner) Good tactics can get you through undead fights fairly well and I wouldn't say the fear/hate of undead makes a big enough difference to warrent it better/worse than the other fears/hates. A suicide misison bro is an interesting idea, and not a tactic I've ever had to use to win undead fights but I'm glad it works for you :)

Ahh yes, the perk true believer does successfully remove superstitous, insecure, craven & dastard. I failed to mentioned it as I was focusing on the general interactions of the traits (and spending a perk to fix a bad trait is definitely good, but a waste of a perk imo if you can avoid the bad perk in the first place) definitely a band-aid solution.

I know you don't consider events much on the traits, but I would like to ask a question, due not playing on legends mod (lacking one dlc and waiting for sale before picking it up)... But at least in normal battle brothers, team player has event named "teamplayer is a bro" which, besides the name, has nice ability of giving your other bros permanent +1 resolve. While +1 isn't that much, I find this valuable due the fact the event can trigger multiple times over a play through and thus give all the in the roster +1, resulting in up to 10-20 extra resolve points overall. Nooot saying it gets too high but I wouldn't place it in bad myself.

Events are very RNG-based and only a few are really ones to write home about imo. The Team-Player event is nice and all, but +1 resolve doesn't do much and you can only recieve the bonus once for every bro (even if it can proc multiple times a playthrough on a 50day cooldown) I can see that for you it's a nicer trait, but I'll still keep my rating :) (also thanks Sean! I forgot to mention BB & dlc is on sale till the 30th)

Im at day 119 all of my frontline bros have 170+mail with my big bros having 240+ mail Gotten past the first big world crisis (i chose noble war to get easy gear) and im able to comfortably take on 15 orc young, or a noble company of 15. And ive only just got my 11th bro... I need to find some legendary gear now, found 1 goblin named cruel falchion which does 35-45 damage and only wastes 2 fatigue which is really good

Hello Snowman, would like to comment on this video in regard to few traits and my thoughts on them. All the bonuses you put to the Bad tier, I think that's controversial and obviously your opinion is based on your experience and feelings. They are still positive, and you should change YOUR mind and at least classify them as 'not bad' even if not average as most players would put them. I mean - they are beneficial even if you sometimes get overconfident and that leads you to disaster ... are you perhaps having "cocky" yourself which activates under certain conditions (like having those traits in a brother)? But you do you! Glorious Quickness is where I disagree strongly, Action Points are extremely viable and having a trait on top of the perk is great. Despite the specific case and the inability to be used with other weapons effectively due to background and such, using it with Dagger Mastery can lead to extremely favorable results. That change from 4 to 3 AP cost of an attack means that it changes the dynamics and thanks to it the damage output of Dagger specialist, which is very high, it can become even higher. The trait Strong is, also carrying another hidden mechanics - it gives you +10 initiative when wearing armor (unless the mechanic is changed in Legends, should check it out). Which makes it a bit better then only giving Fatigue. You also didn't mention events which while not guaranteed can move a trait (at least in my opinion) up or down a tier or at least half-tier.

Thanks for your opinion on the matter :) I did do somewhat of a mention about the 3 personal-opinion bad traits being my personal opinion and most people watching (yourself included) could easily see that they were placed in a lower tier due to that resoning despite their 'green stats'. Glorius quickness is alright when paired with berserk, but on it's own, you're not actually getting very much out of it during general gameplay save for maybe a free 2AP tile movement after a kill. Strong does have the hidden technical +10 initiative which I forgot to mention in the vid and would most likely push it very close to B tier as a result :) Events are nice but not reliable or insanely impactful when regarding traits.

Charming is good for it's luck-ability to give your bros confidence at the start of a battle, not really for 'saving' their bad morale (like a banner does). Banners can't give you confidence, so the "charming" trait is still strong into late game :)

Guy hates team player. It's great to have on edge 2h melee guys with a tank next to em. Also great on handcannon bros. Less likely to shoot or hack off your buddies head is great let's you continue fighting the hordes with less worry.

Is it just me who have diffrent traits in game than what is hown here? For example nightowl, in my game nightowl only give plus 1 vision during nighttime, nothing else. Meanwhile 30:33 in the video his nightowl got ranged buffs as well. I do not understand why that is the case. Anyone knows why?

Maybe you're using a older version of Legends? That's most likely the case. The latest versions can be found in the Legends discord channel and the latest version of the mod (as of writing this) is 16.2.4

Brute gives +15% damage to the head, but axe hits both body and head for additional damage. So does brute gives you extra damage if that bro using axe?

Found the answer, and its interesting that brute does NOT affect the '2nd hit' of a 2h axe Seems to only affect 'targeted' headshots (from initial dmg, if that makes sense)

War tales and bannerlord to a smaller scale. Mount and blade is more just surviving to mid game and getting back at the bs system. War tales is sucking me in just like battle brothers did when the southern states dlc dropped.

I love the tier list, and I agree with most all of them but the ones I disagree with are: Lucky is average (It's not detrimental, it only has a positive effect even if its a weak one), Martial is good (+5% melee skill with no downside? I'll take that deal), Quick is good (free stats are free stats, and if Brute gets ranked based on proper usage then Quick should as well), Strong is Strong! (Ya, perks are better at getting Fat. neutral but +10 fat is still amazingly helpful. Not S-tier helpful, but definitely A-tier), and Swift is good (Dude. ಠ_ಠ)

Yup, thats correct. Melee defence is a super important stat in BB and Legends mod. Ranged defence is almost useless (except you can put it on ranged bros to help 'counter-snipe')

The single event it gives isn't super fancy imo. +1 Resolve (for 50% of your bros), 50day cooldown, and no bro can get it twice. Still not enough to convince me sadly :(

i'd personally put bright a bit higher, its basically half a perk, i usually pick student when the perk is available but when there is bright it feels less bad not picking it up, also, come on snow, lucky should be at least average, be it just for the events

(I do believe I mentioned it being good to synergize with student, but on it's own it's not as strong) I do look at things more in a combat-sense, ohh and lucky's single event isn't that amazing haha, but i understand "green is good" :P

How is Aggressive not in the God tier , but A tier ? Some of those S tier traits are useless late game though (day 100+) .

The S-tiers are good late game, though people have argued determined isn't as impactful, to which I say it it still valuable (but a banner can reduce it a little, but you can't just look at one point in the game to justify the general use of something) Agressive is only used for melee and has a very bad detriment, so there's no way it's a perfect trait :) Remember this is looking at traits across the board, for all bros. Hope this helps :)

Yea it’s bad for some builds , but it’s the best trait for best legends build , since legends mod buffed spear through the roof , especially 2handed spear .

Death wish is good in vanilla, but in legends mod , there are many ways to improve resolve without leveling up , also fearsome build is viable in legends . Mind over body is one of best builds too . That’s why I think death wish is indirectly nerfed in legends .

I feel like you should have had a separate tier for 'not technically bad but it doesnt actually help as much as you'd expect.' Putting stuff that is a net positive in the same tier as straight up negatives feels unbalanced. And then you put Sure-Footing in the same rank as Tiny, despite the substantial damage penalty, even though you've explained that Ranged Defense is worse and the damage penalty surely isn't offset by it.
