Been watching the videos for almost a year now and absolutely can’t get enough of them, love the detail you go into with each jacket. Same story with the informative/test videos you do as well on fabrics and features. Thank you for all the work you put into them. 🤝 From Vancouver 🇨🇦

Hi Chris, I have watched several videos of you introducing different jackets. You have introduced everything in detail, and I am very grateful for your introduction. I'm also thinking about buying my first Arc'teryx jacket now, but I'm still a little hesitant which one I should choose. Hope you can give me some advice! First of all, my main purpose is to use it daily in the city in summer. In order to cope with different weather, sometimes it rains and sometimes it is windy. The average temperature is also between 18~35°C (64.4~95°F). So I hope it can be windproof and waterproof (/water resistant) and have a good breathable function. Then, if the air conditioner is very large in the school/office, I also hope to have a little warmth function. The last thing is storage, I hope it can be easily put into a backpack/crossbody bag, and it will not take up too much space. Which of the following should I choose is more suitable for me? Or are there other better options? Beta AR, Beta LT, Sawyer Hoody, Gamma Hoody, Gamma LT, Ralle LT I'm a little sorry, it's been a long response. Hope to get your reply, thank you for your continuous videos, very informative! From a Hongkonger who's living in US now.

The jackets that you mentioned are all nice, but I don't think that any of them would be your best choice. The beta's are great wind / rain jackets, but they are hardshells to wear outdoors in bad weather, not comfortable for indoor use. The sawyer is awesome, a real favorite of mine, but too heavy for summer use. The gamma jacket (LT) is really more for higher output activities like climbing, it's made to stretch as you move, and also a bit heavy. I'm not sure about the ralle.... but I would say that it is more like a hardshell. I would suggest the Solano hoody. Lightweight, breathable, made from goretex infinium which is a windproof fabric that is very comfortable. It has a light soft lining in the body of the jacket, and that should add that bit of warmth when needed. It's not waterproof, but it is water resistant. It's a really nice piece that can be used in the mountains, but seems to be more suitable for everyday and city use as well. I also like the gamma lightweight (SL). A bit lighter with no lining on the inside, but I describe it as a second layer of skin. Nice as a stand alone, or with a lighter insulation layer or fleece under it. Check out my videos on these jackets, they should help you out. Let me know if you have any more questions, I'm glad to help. 🙂

@@meandmyjackets Thank you for your reply! I am very appreciate it! I just finished watching your video on these jackets. I ended up going with the Solano Hoodie because it really fit my needs. And I just placed an order! Thank you very much for your reply and your previous introduction videos. Then I also have a little suggestion for you, first of all, you can try to add BGM to your video, which is very useful and will not be boring to watch. The BGM doesn't need to be too loud, just a little bit in the background, because you are the speaker. The second is that you can try to use KZbin's chapter function, which is like an outline. This way people can quickly find what they want to know. Finally, really appreciate your reply, so that I can find my perfect everyday jacket! Your introduction video is really detailed and informative, hope more people will discover your channel! I will also recommend this channel to my friends if they are also looking for jackets!

With a Beta AR, what insulated jacket would you take ? Atom or Proton LT ?
@meandmyjackets
@meandmyjackets Жыл бұрын
Either one would be perfect, just depends on what you're doing. The proton is a bit better for higher output activities., but a bit heavier than the atom LT. Both are great jackets.

Is the Nuclei FL warmer than the Atom AR?

No and also way less breathable.

To me, the Atom AR is warmer. It's a Heavier "winter Jacket". The nuclei is just very warm for its weight. The Atom AR has twice as much insulation than the Nuclei FL.
