Hugely informative. What kind of temperatures could you wear the SL around town. Maybe from 0-10C? (32-50F approximately) I’ve heard it’s not as wind proof as their other jackets, any experience? Keep up the great work!

The SL is pretty warm, but it is a super light weight jacket. I just got it, and it's not that cold out here yet, so I can't tell you much with experience. However I would say that as a stand alone jacket, Below 40F it may not be enough unless you have a shell over it, or are doing an activity in which you are building up heat. Otherwise, below 40F I think that I'd rather have the LT. I'm not sure about the windproof part.

Hi, Chris! Thank you for all your videos. I have a question, only you can help me. I have Cerium LT in Large. And it fits perfect. And I want to buy Cerium SL. But its only in Medium in my town. Will it fit me same as LT, what do you think? Because on your video it looks like SL is oversize. If they are same size, SL and LT. Thank you!

I agree that the SL is not as trim fitting as the Lt, but it's not really oversized. If anything, I would say that the LT is a bit undersized due to its super trim fit. So I would think that the SL in M would be too small. I wear an XL in everything, and i'm happy with the fit of my XL cerium SL.

What size would you get a regular fitting down jacket in also what size did you get the cerium lt in just for comparison I wear a large but am wondering if the large I a fitted down coat will fit me

All of my down jackets are XL. My thorium AR is XL and I believe that it's a regular fit. I did have one in a large, but it was too tight. Returned it for the XL, and it is perfect. The cerium LT is the tightest fitting of all, but it is ok. Got whatever size that you would normally wear. If you want to layer under the LT, you may have to size up

Okay cool on there website the new model for this year they updated the lt it is now just called the cerium I think they made it longer also just what it looks like I believe they did away with the sl lt and sv now it’s just the cerium

Need your experience. I have a proton fl and a gamma sl For more rain and cold I want to buy an other jacked. I am between the atom lt and the beta lt. Is the atom good for rain days ? The beta is goretex and for winter I can use it over my proton fl. What is your experience and advice. Would the best with the proton fl work good for cold days. ? Thx for all help

The Atom LT is a little heavier (warmer) than the proton FL, but depending on how cold it gets, it may not be warm enough. The Atom is not waterproof if it's raining hard. No more waterproof than your Gamma SL. The beta on the other hand will keep you dry and block the wind, but it's not insulated, so not much warmth. Maybe the atom LT with a heavier fleece like the covert or kyanite AR to wear under the atom if it gets colder. Then the beta as a shell on top for rain. The atom AR is really warm too.... no fleece needed under that, and it will fit under the beta as well.
