I've been doing decluttering of my stuff and I've realised I have soooooo many things at home each time I go out and see something I like, I think back at now difficult it was to declutter and how painful it was thinking about how much each item was.. OMG you’re so right. It really can be tiring sometimes, being a bag lover, especially if you don’t necessarily wanna have a huge collection. Swap and upgrade, yes. How can something that seems so fun manage to get so frustrating? We really need to stop and do like a no-buy-quarter or even year sometimes and really enjoy what we already have. I purchased the Speedy Damier Ebene 20 last year. It’s one of my most used and carefree bags in my collection. I was tempted to purchase the camera box, wine speedy, cotton Neo Noe in black, and two other LV. I love color but my style are neutrals. We can’t buy them all because then if we do it never ends. ❤

Great video and message. I don’t think you made any mistakes as you thought it all through. I always wonder about the repetition in many collections, although I do appreciate these are collections and not all collectors have a focus to really use the bags. Your approach seems more practical. The teen Triomphe is so much like the box bag and it’s more special to have your discontinued beautiful box. IMO that LV “tilt” bag is really a hot mess, maybe that’s what makes it unique?!😂 I disliked it from when I first saw it and it’s for what you pointed out: too many things going on! Definitely trying too hard.

I just bought the mini Celine triomph bag for 1000 euro before vat and I love it !!!!! one can even use is at a belt bag as the bag strap is adjustable 😊

I have to keep reminding myself that there's always going to be a bag I like, and to not feel like I'm going to miss out. I think over the past several years I've always had at least one bag on my mind! I agree, it is tiresome 😒 My latest desire is the Speedy 20 in empreinte, to use as an everyday bag that fits more than most of my bags. No regrets! I think its so interesting to go over these moments after a long time. I watched each one of these videos as they came out and I remember thinking "that bag is so cute! That would be a great purchase" for most of these 😂. But as you were going over them in this video I was thinking, wow, I dont even remember these and hmm... they dont look as good as I remember! I came from having 5 bags in my collection few years ago (a black mini bag, a navy medium bag, 2 longchamp S & L totes, and lastly a laptop backpack) to suddenly having 15 bags; most of which I bought during the pandemic until last year. This year, I really want to do a no-buy because I realized that I dont get to use a lot of the bags even if on my mind, I can rationalize why they are staying in my collection. It's a combination of social media (in my case it's a subreddit) and having more disposable income (super thankful I increased my income) but surely, there's better way to spend my money right?

I was also eyeing the Celine triomphe bag last year and decided to just get the belts! I got the small size in the nude (pampa) color in the summer and the medium size in black for Christmas. For the price of the Celine triomphe bag, I can still get a Chanel classic mini and I know that I will never get tired of classic Chanel logo, but I might eventually get tired of the triomphe logo. I feel like it might be overdone soon just like the Gucci Marmont logo.

Awweee the Djoy. I just recently got one, it hasn’t arrived yet but I have wanted the bag for a year and some change now. It was a wishlist bag for me. I also have the speedy 20 well over a year ago now, Not in damier ebene but in traditional monogram and I do love the bag. It’s lovely. For the Celine triomphe, that’s another wishlist bag for me that I have yet to get because I also have a classic box bag but mine is in python. The triomophe is a lovely bag, I just haven’t bit the bullet because it is quite pricy for what it is.

I gave up speedy 20 as well and chose 25 instead. I know it's hard to order in many places and people all say that it's the perfect size, but still, 25 is more handy for me especially when I need to carry a water bottle or an umbrella. I even carry my lunch box sometimes. So 25 is like a perfect everyday bag to go to work.

It was too small for my liking and I couldn’t really put all of my daily essentials if I wanted to keep that “slouch” shape. I am still trying to declutter more down the road so we will see how many I can let go instead of adding pieces that I will regret later. I love this philosophy. I resisted buying a lot of bags last year. For me, if it’s not giddy love, I’m not buying it. If I buy it, and it sits untouched for more than a day or two after bringing it home, it goes back. If I am not excited enough to move straight into a bag, there is no point to having it. Better to admire from afar.

Haha, I’m one of the voices that said not to replace your Speedy 25 with the 20 but if there is room for something this cute still, may I suggest the Celine small Boston bag in canvas with leather (hurray!) strap? So close in size however it does lose a couple of centimetres in depth but this means it sits closer to the body. I could still see you with a Lady DJoy when the right one for you comes along. Well done leaving the rest behind. I left the Prada Re-edition crossbody bag, black nylon, silver hardware because I have a black nylon bag that serves the same function - but isn’t as nice and I want nice. Not sure I’ll be as strong this year 😅.

I FELL head over heels with a light pink Chanel 2.55! I had to have it!! The chain and history of the bag captured me. But, like you said I’m more of a neutral gal. I’m so glad that the video resonated for you. About 5-6 years ago, I did a no-buy year for clothes and it was life-changing. I thought it would be great to organize my closet and reduce my spending but even more than that, the greatest benefit was that I felt less weighed down and more at peace. That was years ago but I’ve never let my wardrobe get out of hand since then. Now, handbags are another issue altogether! Work in progress. 😂

Luxury handbag shopping has become an addiction these days, primarily because of influencers and social media. It isn’t normal to constantly purchase luxury handbags but influencers make it seem like a regular purchase since they are constantly buying new bags. I’m glad to see an influencer pass up on bags. No matter what bag you purchase, you’re always going to want something new, even the bag you finally bought was your dream bag; this is how consumerism works.

The D-Joy looks too long for its height and I really dislike its proportions. I am not a fan of east-west bags. The CC logo on the pink Chanel looks like cheap, stuck on plastic. Like something you would get in a kids' accessories shop 😨 I like Celine's Triomphe motif, but the bag styles don't have much else going for them 😕

For me it is the lady Dior, but it is such a delicate over expensive bag. I bought a miss mini Dior bag to test the brand. I'm not impressed. The corners have worn a bit even when I have only touched and watched the bag in my home. A thread has come totally lose and I need to get it fixed at Dior. It is obvious that not using edge coat on lady Dior bags weaken the bag and you get less use of it. After my experience with Dior brand I just feel so disappointed...it's clear Dior is copying Chanel, high insane price and less quality and let's not forget, the luxury house takes your money if you regret it. There is no full refund. You get store credit that lose 15% value for every price hike that comes.
