Your locs are beautiful and I love the color!! I agree with you about adding some conditioner into your regimen. I experienced a lot of breakage from coloring my braidlocs and had the same shed hair in the sink situation. Just make sure you rinse the conditioner out thoroughly.

I started my two strand about a month ago im trying to find the confidence of wearing my hair instead if weave because the shrinkage is real

Just do it! The two strand twists do come with a lot of excess shrinkage. That’s why I went with braidlocs- a lot less shrinkage starting out but takes longer to loc. Pros and cons to both methods. You’ll just have to do it! I tell myself no bad hair days!!

I started mine a month ago too! I have 3a/3b type hair and when I installed my micro locs, I kept my ends loose so it looks like a typical wash and go. It helps me embrace my loc journey because it looks like the style I would do as a loose natural.

Hey girl hey , you don’t have to retwist every 4-6 weeks , you can retwist at home just find a light out like jojoba , it’s important to let your sister locs thicken up and grow out at the roots so they’re stronger ✨

My hair gets tangled so bad at the roots though. I don’t want to cause breakage at the roots by the excessive tangling. I do enjoy having someone else do my reties. It takes a burden off of me.

If you can see if any products that you have been using in your change of states have any alcohol in them sometimes alcohol products will cause you to have breakage on your end specially and color treated hair I don't know if this will help or not but I'm just putting it out there for you hopefully it helps thank you
