I remember I left my faux locs in for almost 5 months. It looked a complete mess and you couldn’t even see my scalp at that point… I was depressed. My cousin found out she had stage 4 cancer and was going through chemo for four months and passed away 😢 I didn’t take my hair down until after her funeral. You just never know what people have going on and hair and nails etc is usually the least of their worries.

@@ElleC2016 ikr! I'm surprised people don't know about it or don't believe it. Why would people lie about their own hair experience? My hair also started growing when I left my braids in for 2-3 months and when I put my hair in corn rows for 3 months whilst protecting it with a wig. If it wasn't for the wig, I'd have to unbraid the cornrows in less than a month because it gets messy quickly and unbraiding my hair after a month everytime will cause my hair growth to be stagnant.

Hi, You are a talent! I am a Jewish 56 year old 'hairdresser ' for my friends and family. My 90 year old grandmother (when she died 25 years ago) opened and ran a shop in Philadelphia and had a few white and a few black stylists. It was so awesome to see the talent and cultural mixing and my aunt and father worked for her till my dad got his own shop but i would be at both shops as a kid and i think i was the luckiest kid ever! My Gram wouldn't let my dad and aunt call her mom😂😂 and ESPECIALLY me not call her grandma!!! I never realized how smart she really was as a 3x divorced single mom raising 3 kids. All the stylists got along and had respect for each other (of course there was drama but hey... its a SALON!) I worked later at both shops and no one had the education i had back then! Customers tell you EVERYTHING!! You always hold their secrets dear, they were all always there for me and i miss those times!

@@Anonyme67 it just doesn’t really look like she can wash it. Can you wash your hair with an install like hers? She has that extra layer wrapped around to take off. How do you even get water in there, and wouldn’t be more of a “hazard” waiting for it to dry? Possibly Causing bacteria to grow. I’m not very knowledgeable on this stuff, but always curious on how it’s done.

😱 Though your work is great and will hold up for 6 months, that is foul for her to wait 6 months. I would have to tell her to come in when I have a stuffy nose so I don't have to smell that. I do feel sorry for those clients that be going through things but I don't have enough ventilation for that. Sometimes its just too much that not even a mask can hold back the gag reflex.

I heard doctors and nurses use Vicks under their masks for unpleasant smells at the hospital. Not saying you want to do that but if you had to for any unexpected odor situation.

I can't believe these people would let their hair get like that.. keeping fake hair installed for 6 months? When I get a retwist on my locs and two strand twist,I can't even leave it in there for more than 30 days, because it will start to fuse together.. I can't imagine going 6 months😮
@itzlexisplace3380

Well locs aren’t the same as a sew in…that’s for starters. Learn the difference and how much “fake hair” protects ur natural hair. Nb HAS to wash their hair lots of ppl go without washing it for months but u can’t tell bc they keep it done.

Your hair grows faster when it’s “dirty”, (I’m not saying go a year plus etc. but you can get a sew in done and keep it in for 3/4 months go back for another reinstalled without it getting your hair washed or just leave it how it is.But, that final take down you need to wash it. That could be an extra 3 months, so in total 6 months like her.
@Sheree_Monique
@Sheree_Monique 2 ай бұрын
@lashai8465 The hair is not growing at its fullest potential with a dirty scalp. What's happening is you're able to retain the length bc your not manipulating your hair so often.

Moral of the story: leave your hair alone and it will grow. It just wants to be left alone lol. All this dyeing, heating, gel, sprays, pomades, leave-in conditioners, mousse, etc. Put those chemicals on wigs and weaves, not your own hair.

We need to bring back shame lol. I would be too embarrassed to let a stylist deal with all my dirt and grime. I understand life happens, but at that point just cut it all off and have a stylist perfect the cut and give you a cute color! You don’t need long hair or weaves if life has you that down bad! Rock your cute baldy and maybe buy a synthetic wig or two and keep it pushing!❤
