For the guys who are mentioning the 2013 and 2019 Ballon D'or 2013 Ballon D'or : Ronaldo didn't win any major trophy and won whereas Ribery won the Treble (UCL, League and League Cup) and still finished 3rd in Ballon D'or Voting. Ronaldo and Ribery were both wingers/wide players that year. Ronaldo scored 59 goals for Madrid that year and Ribery scored 16 goals for Bayern. In the 2012/13 UCL, Ronaldo was top scorer with 12 goals whereas Ribery only scored 1 goal. Ronaldo was without a doubt the best player at Madrid in the 2012/13 season and the only one keeping them competitive. I agree Ribery was the best player at Bayern during the 2012/13 season but was Robben, Lahm and Neuer that far from him. They were also as important as Ribery to that Bayern team's success. 2019 Ballon D'or : Van Dijk won the UCL, finished runner's up in the Nations League and runner's up in the League (1 point) but still finished 2nd to Leo Messi who had only won La Liga that year. Messi scored 51 goals from 50 games for Barca in 2018/19. Was the Top Scorer in the League and UCL. He was by far the best player at Barca and the only one who was keeping them competitive on all fronts right till the end. I do agree Van Dijk had one of the best seasons a defender has had in recent memory but was Van Dijk carrying that Liverpool team like Messi carried Barca? Was the likes of Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Allisson that far from Van Dijk during that season? They were also as important as Van Dijk to that Liverpool team's success. When Messi and Ronaldo retire, we all will truly realize how great they were season after season for such a long time...

Winning Copa America after so many tries is not in favour of Messi. Balond'Or has no standard operating system, it is truly a political award. I seriously think the voting is rigged. Instead of people voting the player, there should be certain point system based on the goals scored, assists, chances created, interceptions, mvp of the match, and saves made. If all these stats are indicated by points, it will even encourage the players to do their best because they'd know their tally throughout. Why are titles even considered when rating a player's individual performance. So long as he plays in one of the major leagues in Europe his personal stats should really stand out above anything else. That's includes dribbles and assists for example... so no, Iniesta 2010, Modric 2018 and Ribery 2013 did not deserve Ballon D'or. Lewandowski should have one it 2020. I agree with all of them apart from Ribery 2013. Ribery that year was simply world class as he was Bayern’s best player that year. Contributed 43 g/a (which may not be the right numbers) in 55 games for a LM like him which is actually impressive. Ribery also ended the 2012/13 CL season as the top assist and even, assisted in Bayern’s 2-1 victory against BVB and eventually won the UEFA men’s best player of the year. He even went on to win MOTM in the uefa super cup against Chelsea and the CWC player of the tournament.

Déjà Modric en 2018 il a remporté la ldc en finissant meilleur joueur, meilleur milieu de terrain de l'année, il porte un petit pays en finale de cdm en finissant golden ball de la cdm, de plus Ronaldo à certes fait une saison incroyable en ldc, mais sa cdm elle est ratée, malgré un triplé mais c'est pas suffisant, là où Modric à brillé dans les deux prestigieuses compétitions de l'année, et ce qui est marrant c'est que tu dis Iniesta mérite plus que Messi en 2010 alors qu'il n'a fait que 3 buts et deliver 9 pd, soit moins que Modric et tu dis que Modric à volé et Iniesta c'est fait volé, alors que la saison de Modric et bien meilleur que celle de Iniesta en 2010 ( je le dis en étant barcelonais). En 2021 c'est pas du tout un vol, tu n'imagines pas à quelle point j'admire Lewandowski, et si il y a quelqu'un qui aimerait le voir soulever un ballon d'or c'est bien moi. Je ne dis pas qu'il ne le mérite pas, mais à part avoir plus de buts et remporté la bundesliga, elle ne dépasse pas celle de Messi, ils ont fait une saison identiques, avec 60g/a chacun à peu près, seulement Copa America et bien plus prestigieux que la bundesliga et Messi la gagné en étant meilleur buteur, passeur et joueur, en plus de ça il porte le barça à lui tout seul, finit pichichi, remporte la copa del rey, juste pour dire que ça n'a rien d'un vol, les deux ont fait une saison monstrueuse et les deux mérites, mais comme je l'ai dis Copa bien plus prestigieux que bundesliga.
