I have a 10 gallon tank, and crown tailed black betta named Mr Ecilpse. Here's been hanging around the heater. I'm assuming my 2 silk plants wasn't enough for hiding places. So I added tall silk pla n ts weighed down with gravel. He didn't like the strong flow of water coming from Fuvual filter. So I put tall plant in front of it. I've had him since March this year. He doesn't approach me when I come to the tank he turns away. Tonight Sept 30th 24 I did complete water change vaccum the gravel out washed out the silk plants. Took out all water. Then put water conditioner &put fresh water in I had it similar to temperature before. Then put the Mr Ecilpse in. He loved it swam around alot. I didn't realize the tank gets dirty so quickly when overfeed them. That's big duh on my part. My question is can I add some fish He can swim with not eat though. Like neon tetras? Or small bottom fish to eat unwanted food. I try resear h everyone has so many opinions. Let me know. I also have heater adjustable and temperature gauge sticks on tank since I can't see to good. . I in fact ordered on Amazon little 15 wt for 10 gallin heater and digital gauge because I don't think my gauge I'd working properly. Plus Mr Ecilpse hangs around the heater alot. The gauge says 83 but can you tell me why he hangs floats around the heater?? Is he just bored.

Hi, I am from Malaysia. I have one question here. I do tried to breed betta fish in 3 tubs. My question is if i can put all fry from 3 tubs together in one container to breed? I couldnt find any answer on the internet. 3 tubs of fry together is it possible with different sets of betta parents? Pls advise me. Thanks

Yes, you can do that. Actually It’s better to separate them by size, so smaller size fry don’t get dominated or get attacked. In general, breeders keep frys based on counts.

My beta has a small jar, a leaf and a floating log. Ya know where he likes to sleep? On the section cup for the floating log. 🤦‍♀️ he's still young, so one day he's gonna realize he can't fit through the opening of the clip anymore

Usually, I import them from Asia. I was doing transhipping in USA. Now, slowed down after covid. Check aquabid.com if interested. But you have to do your research to find legitimate seller.

If you're looking to get one I suggest going to a reputable pet store meaning not some place like petsmart where their fishes are more sickly and not really cared for correctly or bread in the best circumstances

Evrytime i drop food in my betta tank he always swims in the wrong direction or tries to find it but cant and his eyes are getting a little grayer then normal. What does this mean and what can i do to help him?

He might have an eye infection and is slowly going blind due to a sickness. I recommend putting him in aquarium salt and using medicine to treat the betta’s eyes, this infection is likely a fungal infection.

Inspect the eyes clearly. It can be of various causes. 1. Popeye - fungal infection as mentioned by Zouldroper. Eyes may appear bulged and big. 2. Cloudy eye - possibly infection. It is also known as a genetic disorder in white opaque betta fish. 3. Diamondeye - it happens on dragonscale betta. Basically, their scale is too large and impacts eye sight. Regular water changes and salt baths are generally helpful. Actually, I’m publishing a full video about betta fish illness this weekend. It has tons of details with the treatment.
