Margaret Bedwell Thank you! Yeah, and I made it so that I can easily remove it and replace if it ever gets ripped or damaged. Yes, the venison was good! I think I will tone down the seasoning/bacon/filling next time. I was trying to fancy it up so my kids wont react negatively to it... meanwhile they peeled the bacon off and claimed they like the meat by itself better 🤪

@@HiddenCreekHomestead Happy the venison turned out so well. I think when the deer are calm you get a better tasting meat. When they are chased all over or run hard before they drop the meat is very gamey tasting. Just my opinion, I haven't eaten that much deer meat, my husband was not a hunter.
