@@m.zehner7145 So, I could do garbage work at exorbitant prices but, if I show up I get the job? I agree dependability and reliability are important but, I’m not making a contracting decision solely on that basis…

Great information Guys. Hey Jim when ever I run into a problem I just holler at my mail lady for information when she comes by 😂. Take care guys and have a great weekend 👍

I've had to learn to do my own due to thieves, irresponsible, and/or bad/wrong products used and installed.

I’m like you. I’ll do the research if needed, get with my friends in the trade, then do it myself. Gitter done!

”Hire the contractor who will show up.” = Have a signed contract with an END date. If the job is not completed within so many days, this contract becomes null and void and will be prosecuted in small claims court, something along those lines because I can tell ya, if they don't agree to a "finished by date" they had no intention of doing the job in the first place. Bonus Tip: Never give an advance for parts/materials and if you do have the contract clearly say that they are to be at the job site at all times (your home). Do your own diligence just speaking from personal experience.

It’s probably easier to just get certified as a plumber and do it myself rather than deal with all of that…
