You could prevent the splitting / cracking of the air intake hose . By periodically spraying 303 Protectant on all rubber parts in the engine compartment .

Also the Wiring To The IAC Can Be Bad (Connector And Wires) you can also use a cigarette or soapy water to find vacuum leaks also you can use a scan tool and use live data to check the IAC or TPS, On occasion it could be the PCV. These are usually the culprits. Hope this helps!!!!

Thanks for your positive feedback on erratic vehicle rpm. I am having the issue of rpm while my car is at idle and parked The interior lights dim and the rpm fluctuates from 600 rpm to 750 rpm. I disconnected the terminals of the battery, checked if there is broken ground wire or not, cleaned the throttle body, MAF and engine filter. The rpm fluctuation went away but came back after few days. What I discovered was that my vehicle battery charge reading with a battery tester is medium or 12,2 volts at a cold start. Could a medium battery charge cause a car rpm fluctuation?

I had this problem of idle fluctuation. It was maf, I knew by unplugging it. When unplugging the maf, idle was normal, no fluctuation. Easy first test

Hey, my cars rpm recently started to jump up to 2500 rpm for a second before crashing down to like 1000 rpm the next second and then quickly setteling at 1500 rpm. Happening only on cold start but every time i start the car. Runs fine after it gets to 1500 rpm. I also hear a strange noise like something slipping, mby a pulley or the starter motor every time i start the car. The car also feels weak when increasing or decreasing rpm a lot so mby its a bad map sensor? Btw the car is a 1998 corolla e11 with a 4efe

My astra j gtc has just started doing this after getting running good again I've replaced map sencor and cleaned egr valve prior to the issue. And now this just one thing after another. On my old petrol I replaced the purge valve and sorted it but I'm not massively clued up on diesels, it only seems to be on cold start when the car is at running temp it eases off.

Never clean MAF sensor with brake cleaner! Get dedicated MAF cleaner.

What if the vehicle has a erratic idle only when the air is on or if it is on defrost. Idle is fine when the heat is on the floor or the vents.

Hi i have an hyundai accent 2012 midle east version 1.6l engine, I have the RPM flexuation while it idle then its turned off the engine while (not using AC and the gear in parking mode) Note: when we turn on AC or the gear on drive or reverse the RPM will be stable and not turned off.

What causes RPM goes to zero? After I reset ACU by removing negative cable from battery rpm becomes normal. But when I test drive for several kms. or when I stop acceleration the idle speed goes to zero so the engine stop. Throttle body and IACV already cleaned.

Hello everyone, thank you very much for the video howevr it seems my issue is different, im having an issue at idle and many time i get the check engine, the issue that the engine is shaking and there is a lot of vibration on Idle, its very good when its running on the road . i change all spark plugs to irradium and coils as well even all 4 are new, as well i opned the engine air part and cleaned it and changed the 4 joins on the air area upper to the injectors, as well i changed the throttle body to a new one and still the same issue > i used liqui moly products and and changed oil always on time. there is no loss in water/ oil and heating engine is good as well i cleaned many sensors that i can reach and cables using the electronic cleaners however still the same issue please help me guys, its driving me crazy... thanks ( clio 3 1,4 petrol 2007 )

I ended up needing to replace both my gas cap and my fuel tank breather valve. 2014 Mini Cooper S For me, it wasn't erratic...it would *slowly* rev up to about 1500rpms at idle then slowly back down then slowly back up etc

@@AutocornerdPros no dtc codes on scanner. The vehicle is maruti suzuki EECO. The vehicle doesn't have any problem while running. If i press the throttle at idle and rev it to under 2k rpm, it works fine. The moment it crosses 2k, it starts to go up and down. I came to know about this issue during emissions testing since it was not able to hold 2k rpm steadily while testing.

I clean almost all sensors, idle Air Control Valve, Throttle Body, MAF Sensor, Oxygen Sensor, Throttle Position Sensor, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor EVERY YEAR, etc, with new Engine air filter, good gas, clean fuel injectors, and the car is vibrating. the RPM Fluctuations doesn't exist when Car is Parked. New Structs, new motor mounts, new sway bar links, new sway bar bushing, new lower arm control with new ball joints, new tires with balanced and re-balanced and alignment and STILL THE SAME. ----- STOP MAKING VIDEO TO MAKE PEOPLE CRAZY AND SPEND MONEY BUYING AND REPLACING PARTS FOR NOTHING.
