She was a very privileged woman from an aristocratic family who married into the dysfunctional and out of touch Windsor clan, hardly an inspiring character. However, Diana was very successful at being able to manipulate the gutter UK press to craft an image of being one of 'us' e.g. the "people's princess" but in reality she was just a privileged aristo who unveiled plaques, opened hospitals and turned out to dinners. She was a multifaceted character (like most people) appeared normal in that she was less concerned about protocol than the family she married into; she merley used the press very successfully (and they loved her) some British people bought into the fake image. So less overrated more it's a very boring story and when the present queen passes its time to finally go for a REPUBLIC.

I agree, I believe Kate is a great woman. I still remember, before they were married, but living together kate did their grocery shopping in jeans and drove a small little car. Now, she seems like a great mom as well as wife, rolling down hills with her kids, running around barefoot playing with them. Sending her children to school, bringing them with them whenever they can. I honestly can't imagine Markle doing half of those things. How many people have already quit over her in such a short time? We don't hear that stuff about Kate.

Diana changed the rules because that was her way to communicate with people and show her compassion. Her actions never seem fake or make a bad impression to the public (ex : she just wants to break the rule) and that's all because of her sincerity and kind heart. Her fashion were elegant and it suits her, doesn't give an impression that she simply wants to change things to work her way to make her seem powerful. She's just an angel sent from Heaven and it's sad that her husband didn't see her as a blessing most of us see.

Im from an upper class traditional family and though im grateful that I haven’t had struggles working class people have, its a different world. I lived in the middle of nowhere in a big house, started boarding school when i was 8, and never really met ordinary people. It really is a different world. I see Diana’s efforts to integrate her children with normal children as combating the struggle that i still face - breaking from tradition and being human, like everyone else. Im currently 18 and at uni, and its a big culture shock, learning things i didnt know before. I do have what i call “private school moments” where i naïvely say something posh without knowing, but im learning to be normal, and i couldnt be happier. I think Diana went through the same thing

She studied in the UK for college, and was working in the largest retail store until she was at least 22. She told us a story that while she was working there, she met the store manager’s son. 2 days later, that very same store manager son was the very man that was in the car with Princess Diana when it crashed. He was the man she was seeing, they were in the car together, and **boom** crashed. It terrified me that she actually met that man. But, it was cool she had the stories to tell. Really glad I got to meet that amazing woman, thank you Mrs. R. ♥️

It amazes me to see the Royal Family become progressive. I doubt if they had it their way however they would keep it as progressive, but with changing times even a monarchy needs to undergo change & do personal inventory of their presence & worth to the people. The British Monarchy Listened but only after a tragedy did they see how much more powerful an open Royal can be. If your not open, your closed to new ideas & become out of date which would give birth to a disastrous occurrence to ANY Monarch. Some even forget who they rule over & take advantage of their strengths, The PEOPLE. I Pray The Royal family to remain progressive but maintain compassion for the people. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN.

She's is an angel sent by God to change the style of the Londoners. Sad she lost her life in her younger age. I remember even I was young on that time she died.. even Filipinos are very sad of her lost. Reason for me wondered who is she. And starts search her name in the library. Thou is takes time for me to read the whole story becuase if I'm not mistaken I was just 10yrs old on that time she died. Still studying reading english.

She was truly a gift to the world. I did not know her children were the first of the royal clan to attend kindergarten. Amazing, kindergarten is the beginning of the socialization process for children. Exposing them to life on the other side of the gate - priceless,

I am a Indian but still I have a great respect for OUR PRINCESS DIANA....Even though she was a British, I always see her like OUR PRINCESS DIANA, I never thought her as other royal people....She was the WOMAN OF THE BRITISH HISTORY...Prince Charles lost a gem....He wasn't worth of her....She deserved better....

Princess Diana has never been and will never be overrated. Her story deserves to be told down the generations. She is not remembered as People's Princess for nothing. She earned that name for her warmth, charisma and accessibility. She was a smart woman and knew that the face of the monarchy needed to change with the end of the century.

I thought she was an amazing lady & was so sad when she was killed in that auto accident! I don't think she's overrated at all because of the royal rules she didn't follow. Like having her children accompany them on trips. It wasn't unusual to hear, "For the first time in palace history, Royals have taken their children while teaveling." I always thought that was so cool! The media made a HUGE deal about Princess Diana hugging/shaking hands with those who had AIDS or leprosy. They're was a reason she was called "the people's princess." She was amazing!
