LMAO! The drive thru is great. I’ve always wanted to see someone build a replica of one of these but shaft drive at least, maybe 4x4!

Couldn’t happen. The firebox of the boiler would be in the way of the prop shaft. The only way something would work like that would be if there was a separate chain drive from the rear axel to the front axel but how it would affect the steering I’m not sure. It would be easy on a 6 wheel lorry as you’d just have the chain drive go from the middle set of driving wheels to the ones behind however, the turning circle would horrendous.

@@danshaw7663 just use an offset carrier like they do because the engine is in the way on Jeep’s and stuff. Boilers not in the way if you use an offset carrier not sure why you want to use chains unless you’re just trying to stay true to the engineering style of the day.

never mind that is driving a steam powered bomb through a drive through allowed? I remember a news story about a OAP doing something similar.
