I tell you what, go for a roomier pair of jeans, lose the cuff, embrace the puddling a bit, and if your jeans are really baggy, wear a chunky shoe, and if not, wear a slimmer

It’s simple really, if you want no show then just wrap the sock round the insole. That way there is no awkward poke or it getting half eaten by your foot. If not going no show then just wear a normal calf length sock. Never understood the inbetweeny ones unless you doing some sort of sport… i’d still just wear a regular sock then as well though.

Leather dress shoes likely will clash from the look of jeans / dungarees, suggesting that you fail to own any rugged shoes to match rugged pants, which are what jeans / dungarees are. Service boots are the safe bet though moc toe boots work as do motorcycle boots. Hikers do not as hikers are task-based performance shoes. About the only appropriate shoe for jeans / dungarees is the loafer in leather though other shoes in suede work well such as the Oxford, derby, walking "sneaker". The key is wearing these in suede. Jeans / dungarees truly are labor pants and thus ought to be worn only for casual occasions and only in fall and winter, especially dark-wash jeans / dungarees. Tackies show off their bare legs between theirs shoes and trousers. Don't be a tacky.
