I’m 69 and have short legs. Barrel leg jeans always get compliments when I wear them. I bought two pair of wide leg jeans, one dark wash and a medium wash color and I really love them. Skinny jeans were never flattering on me so I’m not sad they are off trend and I don’t welcome their return. I haven’t seen anyone local wearing the wide hemmed jeans yet. I think I’d skip that trend though due to them probably making my shot legs look even shorter. Not a fan of the ankle jeans either. Thanks for always showcasing the trends. Love your videos.

No for me on barrel leg jeans, not flattering at all, they may feel comfortable but a hard no! The gray jeans are much more versatile and lovely in a deeper gray shade. The straight leg cuffed jeans look lovely on you Gemma.

I'm not keen on collecting styles that are unflattering on me so I'm a no on barrels, wide legs and cuffed styles - all of which are just too much for my frame & short legs. People should wear what makes them feel their best self but at the same time I think it's ok to ask yourself if you like a style because it's "in" or because you really like how it looks on your *own* body.

Sticking with what I have this year! Straight leg an wide leg are my favorite. I do like a cuffed Jean with sandals and a sneaker in the summer. At 70, I find sticking with well fitting, tailored clothing, is really best.

I love the idea of having pin tuck on the front of jeans. For my height and shape I'm really pleased to have straight leg and boot cut shaping jeans. I may even try the turned up cuff version too. This has been a really good review of what denim trends are available now. Thank you.

I’m relatively short so I prefer high waisted straight leg jeans with or without a crease, full length because they make my legs look longer. I have this style in black, dark blue, light blue and white. I also have a pair of somewhat wide leg jeans in dark blue that I also like. I really dislike barrel leg jeans and the jeans with deep cuffs, but they’re just not for me.

I have 3 pairs of Gap soft faded baby boot and 3 pairs of Lois straight (Georgia) in dark indigo, and this is how it's going to stay! So many of the new trends seem very unflattering to anyone. The only way the wide with the stitched crease is good is if it is a lighter weight fabric, not heavy and stiff.

Barrel leg, wide leg, three quarter length, whatever, they are all hideous and unflattering. I am convinced the people in the fashion industry hate women and go out of their way to make them look as ugly as possible! It’s straight leg jeans for me all the way. Wear what suits your body shape, flatters you and makes you feel good and disregard the rest. I never followed fashion just because it was ‘in’ even when I was younger, I prefer timeless classic tailored clothes. 🥰💜

I agree. To me, the only designers who consistently wanted to celebrate and flatter women are Ralph Lauren and Oscar de la Renta. Most of the other haute couture designers seem to present styles and trends as if in a competition for the ugliest/most ridiculous/most unwearable design.

My daughter just bought some barrel leg cropped jeans from Seasalt. They are not overly barrel and they look lovely on her. No need to buy jeans with a crease - just press then in to your regular jeans. My husband always wants creases pressed in.

Nice trends😊 I have all of them and enjoy them for different reasons. My barrel leg pants are stylish ones from Banana Republic and emphasize a small waist. I like my faded pintuck that remind me of retro 70s styles. I cuff my straight leg jeans to show off good shoes, notably my classic loafers. It’s great to have such variety and I like your practical take.

Morning Gemma from NYC. I love your top I remember the bows craze in the 80's Princess Caroline with her pearl bow earrings. I do not actually own a bow cardi or a shirt, but I did come up with an idea I bought satin bows for ponytails in all sorts of colours I button my shirt and them twist the band around the buttons et voila I have a bow shirt. I am not warn on the barrel! I always have to say I love your vids. Thank you!

I have a pair of white barrel leg jeans that I purchased about 3 years ago. I added one other pair this year and I do like the silhouette on my petite stature. I also added a pair of Levi's 501 grey straight leg jean and I wear them on repeat. I will pass on the cuff jeans and the ultra wide leg jeans. Thanks for sharing these styles with us.

Straight leg for me all day long. There’s not many body shapes that barrel leg suit and they have to be a very particular length to work too so very tricky. I’ve been looking for the perfect fit jeans for years now, still searching 😢 x

I bought some really wide leg jeans, almost a carpenter jean style, at Aerie, and styled it with a white button down and long black knit sweatshirt with some wool Sperry's this week, a bit of a skater look, and it was real fun for my one in office day at work this week. I have been wearing horseshoe type for a while but not crazy about them. I like pleats on some wide leg trousers but pleats on jeans feel dated because I lived through that era lol. Grey straight legs have & like for a change. Also deep cuffs I do on my long ones- practical ! So glad the are on trend 😊I'm getting tired of overly wide slouchy pants, personally. but they are fun. Strangely it is straight leg jeans that are my death knell! Boot, wide (not super wide though), skinny - all fine. I can get away with a subtle barrel leg, but generally I’ll leave them for other people!

I absolutely love wide leg jeans and flares. I've been wearing wide legs since before lockdown when they were incredibly difficult to get hold of. But I hate skinny jeans, I've never owned a pair and probably never will. I'll just carry on wearing my wide legs and flares! I quite like the less extreme of the barrels, the horseshoe shape. But I probably wouldn't wear them as they tend to be a little cropped. For me if it's cold enough for jeans then it's too cold to get my ankles out! I like the cuffed jeans with the super wide cuff. They are a bit more statement. Not so keen on a narrow cuff, they just look a bit meh.
