I give myself 6 months or so and without building anything substantial. I have been following your guidance of doing customer interviews and those are time consuming but great 👍

I was just thinking, it's been a while since I heard about Mike Taber on the Startups for the Rest of Us pod. Would be interesting to get an update.

I think some start ups have a more uphill battle in gaining market share with larger players present and a drawn out sales cycle. Maybe I am crazy, but I am never quitting Sanus Benefits. To the moon baby!

Keep in mind, I did all the dev, marketing, sales, account management, etc. If I had a team I would solely focus on the sales aspect. That is where I am the best. However if you review my portal you can see I have become quite efficient with coding. The first year I had to pivot from individual insurance to group. It was too tedious working with individuals.

Oh and I am a self taught developer. I never went to a bootcamp, classes, or even any coding exercises. However, my inexperience with developing is not obvious. I have prepared statements for all database queries, connect to a few apis, and have created various widgets to help customers.

As a side note, the $100,000 profit is residual commission from insurance sales.
