There are 2 things that stand out to me in a man.. 1. Integrity/reliability: being able to deliver when you promise, consistence brings reliability and security. 2. Stability: having a vision, being able to work hard, providing, physically fit, spiritually mature, and emotionally stable.

Peter Nygren Hey brother, sorry about your dad. I've put my life on hold for over a year to take care of my ill dad and rebuild our house from harvey. My siblings walked with my friends to move on with their lives only dropping in to snap a couple sweatless smiling pics to upload to their media. Being Christian and single at 24 isn't easy matter of fact it sucks at times! But it's what I signed up for. I have to get in the word and remind myself of Jesus and what he found important and said. This world is only getting more and more selfish with Social media is slowly taking reality away from women, same as porn to men. It's dangerously damaging to even generations before us. But I would like to encourage you man to know that God hasn't forsaken you. He loves you. It's just the enemy attacking us. The real reason we were made for him isn't women or things ( though they can be nice to have; its soles). I do feel God smiles when he see two people praise him with their life together . So i march on and if a girl joins my band and don't mind playing a old guitar with 3 strings she's got a real heart willing to work with anything to make a song.

My brother, I want you to start to see you yourself as GOD sees you. He sees you as this special individual that is beautiful and strong. He sees Christ in you. Please work on focusing on the light inside you. There is great beauty in that and also let your beauty shine thru you showing GOD's love to others. This truly helped me with my many insecurities. Also anytime a thought of insecurity forces it's way in your mind, rebuke it in the name of Jesus Christ and continue to acknowledge that weakness or lack of something doesn't define you. God made you the way you are for reason. The more you feel insecure, the more you should cling to him and begin to thank him for your strengths and blessings. Undoing the habit of I am lacking and changing it to I am blessed in this way and that way. GOD bless you my brother..

@MelissaRodgers16 жыл бұрын
As a Christian girl I can confirm this. Like one consistency I've notice with how and when I am attracted to guys compared to just plain turned off always comes down to spiritual maturity. Like some guys will try to hit on me and I am completely turned off by their immaturity and or gloating. Like once a guy who I had never even talked to saw me at a christian event and decided he liked me. So he started obsessively messaging me on Facebook. Complimenting me and saying how much he liked me and then he would go and just brag about himself and everything he could do for paragraphs on paragraphs. All he did was talk about himself and when I would try to talk about God, he could never hold a conversation with me which turned me off even more because I want someone serious about God not serious about getting a girlfriend. And he just reeked of desperation to me and it from the get go turned me off. Like a mature Christian man isn't desperate for a girl to like him. There is a difference between wanting a relationship and being desperate for one. So when I told the guy I didn't like him that way, he freaked out and just started insulting me and it got so bad to the point I had to block him. By that point I pretty much wanted to never see or hear from him again. By some miracle his family moved to another state shortly after that but, geez. He was so childish. While in contrast guys I have been attracted too, are guys who are typically really mature and that lives don't revolve around getting a girlfriend but serving God and having personal responsibility like you mentioned. Like typically I won't be attractive if they don't do well in school. Because even getting your school work done and done well(getting good grades) shows a level of responsibility. And being able to converse with me about something other than yourself is important as well. I want to date and eventually marry someone who I believe can lead me. If they aren't even at my level or above it spiritually. Why would I be interested? On another note. Once I had a conversation with a guy and we talked for over an hour about God alone. The guy was my age but very spiritually mature and did really well in school (Honors and AP). I was attracted to him the first time I talked to him, even though I didn't know he was a christian at the time. But I ended up really liking him. Like yeah spiritual maturity plays a big factor in attracting a christian girl. Because we can just feel it if they are or aren't. We just know.
@ApplyGodsWordcomMarkBallenger6 жыл бұрын
Great perspective here. I like your point about how desperation is noticeable and makes Christian girls uneasy. I agree that there's a difference between a healthy desire and an obsession. A mature man can want a woman but he is not desperate. Thanks for sharing!

Oh my gosh! There is so much I could say in response to this right now but honestly, it isn't even worth it. You don't know anything about my life and you don't know anything about me. So just stop right there. 'A real man will never pursue me?' Now that's funny.

Peter Nygren there are numerous bible examples of men pursuing women. Numerous. The point of Ruth is to express that women on occasion are called to pursue. But typically and most likely it will be the man. And I'm single because I CHOOSE to be single. I'm not looking for a relationship right now. I'm 18 years old. Not 60 okay. My grandparents got together in college. My grandpa pursued. They are still together and their marriage is what I want mine to be. I want my future husband to be like my grandpa. Who is a man of God who serves the lord with all his heart. I haven't engaged in argument with you. I haven't made a lot of points I could have. I've felt the holy spirit silence me on that. But not anymore. Your whole reality is deluted. And I would urge you to go to the nearest pastor and seek some council. Because almost everything you say goes directly against the bible.

Point 2 was VERY interesting, i absolutely wasn't aware that men who always brag with words or a certain type of behavior, or always do (stupid) stuff to be seen/heard are more or less conciously asking "am i a man/a real man (to you) ?" I just found it stupid, boring or useless. I'll be less judging knowing that, and be more careful concerning my relationships. Thank you !! Oh my PREACH, PREACH, PREACH! I posted this on one of your other videos, but there is such a difference between a true Christian and one that is attempting to say anything to draw you in. Recently, when spending time (friendship) with a man that was professing the Lord. The intent was to determine if we should actually date. I discovered he was attempting to morph into whatever he thought I was looking for. I saw his TRUE self. He had no fellowship with the Lord, he lacked accountability and responsibility for his own actions. He is unwilling to do the things necessary to take care of himself and blames others for everything going wrong in his life. He couldn't make a decision about ANYTHING. I am a spiritual woman that loves Jesus and I live my life accordingly. The more I got to know him, the less I liked interacting with him. Low self esteem is SO unattractive. I even began to dislike how I felt after every conversation because he is just going through life flailing. I could not and would not continue to subject myself to his toxicity after the Lord has set me free.

That final point hit me right in the heart. I'm a single dad and a carpenter by trade with my youngest son living with me doing my best to raise him as a man of God. Currently laid-off of work, Christmas season so jobs are slow, and still dealing with this terrible pain in my foot (plantar fasciitis caused by a heel spur) that started on my last job. We have an extremely high cost of living, but thankfully our wages set by union contact can still allow us to live where I am and have a little extra to save. I guess that leads me to add something to the list, if I may: He is also patient and disciplined enough to exercise self-control.

If anyone (including Mark if you still read these comments!) reads this, could you pray for my growth in godly manhood? I’m at a low point, just having broken up with my girlfriend, and I’m just feeling the overwhelming weight of all the ways I fall short of these true principles. I do almost all I do from the wrong motives, trying to feel like a man through a woman instead of bringing that masculinity to the table. I fail to initiate as I should or lead as I should. I fail to sacrifice as I should for others. I know it is through God’s strength, but my failings drive me to despair and desperation that I can’t seem to change. Please pray for internal peace in the Lord, commitment to a growth pathway through the power of the Holy Spirit, and strength to walk that path.

A mature fellow I could be interested in, has been married before, as I have. He's flat out serving people and actively seeking all God wants of him. He is very attentive to me, that's all, but I can tell he is checking me out for suitable Christian qualities. Ive been deceived before by a man who had the same qualities but turned out to have a violent streak immediately after we were married. God says to guard me heart. I don't want to disturb a good working friendship by encouraging him, as he works with me. It could go badly if I did emcourage him then wanted to back out out of a relationship when I saw red flags.

Parents didn't speak to them about it or didn't know how too. They were not raise with a man figure wich was like a father to them or was around people that where bad influence for them. Yes I heard a brother in christ say that about women as well as you mentioned.That's happens for alot of reasons as well. I thank God for this message cause that's my ways of being as a women of christ. I agree about what you spoke of a real man. You are so right and us women we do see it. Then when you speak to them like you just did in this message wich is pretty much what comes out of my mouth. They take it and see it the wrong way. I thank God that I am not wrong. Thank you for creating these videos. I’d like to know if you could possibly make a video on the question: “how do you deal with guilt when you were in a relationship where you both caused pain & hurt on each other” I’m going through a break up with someone I thought I was going marry. We are both believers but always struggled with keeping the relationship godly for many different reasons. I know my heart wasn’t where it was supposed to be with the Lord. Neither was his. I’d easily get angry & lash out on him. I feel very guilty for having hurt him because I know how awful it feels I’m no stranger to that. I’m beating myself up because it’s hard to realize you hurt someone you love. & vice versa. He hurt me in the ways of lying a lot throughout the relationship & often finding excuses to take part in things that God would not approve of. It eventually led to a break up & the pain I feel is pretty overwhelming. We fought to stay together & rely on God to save our relationship because we really did love eachother. But after a while, we’d fall off spiritually again. I apologize for the TMI on your comments, I wanted to get this across to you but wasn’t sure what other way to reach out. Thanks & God bless!

Hi Stephanie Sosa, yes, I can see how this would be so hard and confusing. Hopefully I can do a video on a topic like that soon, I'm sure many people can relate to what you expressed. Ultimately the gospel is the only answer. We all sin and are sinned against and only truly accepting Jesus grace over all this is the only way to find healing. His grace is always enough. A Godly man- Sacrifices for others Good listener doesn’t interrupt Unguarded no secrets Walks the talk...actions follow words Nothing to be quilty about, openly vulnerable Stable disposition Not afraid of answering questions Interest in others Has healthy long term relationships Eph 5:25-27 loves his woman Resolved conflicts, childhood wounds Takes responsibility/accountable Does not hate woman Covers his woman Puts u/others first Good provider, not lazy Makes a commitment, follows thru. * has empathy, feels when they have hurt u. Remorse. Cannot look after themselves Do not appreciate Is able to express themselves Doesn’t defend u. Throws u under the bus Fearful of judgement/ nothing to be fearful of Doesn’t get defensive, easy to talk too Asks for help Doesn’t seek external praise/sexual gratification Doesn’t need to be seen Admits faults Is not easily offended Is not easily suspicious Highly hypocritical, what’s ok for them is not ok for u. Should feel u r discomfort/ in tune with u Defends his girl Doesnt dismiss their sin/wrongdoing Focused on Gods truth and scripture Loves God R not lovers of themselves

I met a christian guy from england 2 years ago, but i'm italian. I knew a lot of christian guys in my life but that english guy made me felt good like nobody else makes me feel. Is that a sign from god? I already think about this christian guy after 2 years
