Indeed. By cheating, you're putting yourself at your ex's mercy. Some couples can still come back from it though, if they're both willing to work it out and rebuild the relationship from basically ground zero.

Spot on. I’ve been separated for 2 months now from my wife of 20 years. When she first let me know that she wanted to separate and moved out, it was very hard for me. I had a nervous breakdown at work and was sent to the hospital for two days, and was on the verge of being committed to a mental hospital. The biggest signs I noticed were the change in her appearance (she started walking everyday, lost weight, put more makeup on, and styled her hair like she was going to a club before work) she was emotionally distant - stopped saying she loved me, stopped calling me dear or hunny. She eventually said she “wanted her space” All of this seemed to happen for months. I knew she was unhappy so I tried to get closer. Asked to go on dates but she stopped wanting to go out - almost like she didn’t want to be seen with me. I am currently on stress leave from work. I’m an emergency medical responder so I can’t do that job under extreme anxiety. We have an 11 yr old daughter which I’m even now wondering if she’s even biologically mine. Our daughter is not taking this separation well and my wife blames me for this. I’m starting to feel a little better, counclilling, medication, and time heal a little bit. But I know I’m still going to have bad days. (The day she posts a pic on Facebook with her “new” bf will be especially hard I think) I am starting to come to terms with this. I still love her though despite the gaslighting and neglect over the past few months. (I feel like I’ve been mentally abused) I’m far from perfect but I still think I’m a good person, and a great dad. To anyone else whose going through this - I know the world seems like it’s falling apart. Get some support - you’ll come to terms eventually and go on with living - that scar may not go away anytime soon though

toneman335 what causes not to have trust in someone is when someone is not truthful and all these dark secrets keeping from your soulmate. In order to be happy with your soulmate by vice versa is for the man and the woman to be open and honest with each other to have an open relationship meaningful that you can trust your soulmate. When there's no trust is because there was no communication with each other. No one from either side knows how each other feels. I am so sorry to hear your sadness and I really truly hope that you have a better life then what you have now.

The conditions on why she did it, aren't usual, after 18 years, I was working abroud and a former high school sweet heart showed up... I've been trying to hold on, but the trust just isn't there. I can't trust her anymore and my gut never failed me, my gut told me that something was going on... And it was. Now it tells me that I can't trust and it's driving me insane...

Here’s a trick. Go to her job, leave a bouquet of flowers on her car. Make sure you’re not seen by anyone, wear a good disguise. (The weather is getting cold so a scarf and a big wool hat wouldn’t be odd) Go home. If she mentions the flowers, she’s loyal. If she never mentions the flowers, she isn’t sure which guy put them on her car.

I got one.....married female asian worker usually parks her car in front of office to go work safely....its 15 footsteps to enter. But nowadays....I often see that asian worker...instead of parking in that area where there IS available parking in front.......she ends up parking NEXT to this white dude worker's truck....almost every chance she gets....unless another worker beats her to the parking stall.....it takes her approx 40 footsteps to enter the shop. Since he comes in early and she arrives about 1/2 hr later, and its still dark......wonder if my work friend would "see something unusual" and tell me "guess what I saw?".....they were pretty CLOSE to each other.... I was totally blindsided by my wife. We were married almost 30 years when she suddenly asked for a divorce. I later found out she was cheating with a family friend. I was away for several months because of my work and her relationship began then. She showed few signs of wandering or I was just too stupid to notice or was away too long. Their relationship ended soon after our divorce. He lied. She lied. I was left sick with three children at home. A very rough time in my life.

Nah, he dumped after she left you. This is very common. Women are just so messed up that they believe that they can monkey branch to the new guy, but to him it’s a casual thing. This happened to me, but I knew in my gut that she was cheating, I found out that I was right and he dumped her after just two weeks she tried to come back and started calling me EVERYDAY but I told her I would get a restraining order against her. Then I changed my cell number,I saw her ten years later at a funeral and walked right past her. When I found out that a woman has cheated I move on immediately and there is no turning back. The one thing I have always maintained is my dignity and self respect!!

I believe some of these signs/changes in personality come before a partner cheats. Usually they already emotionally left the relationship which then in turns moves to a physical leap whether they ask to separate/divorce which would be easier in the long run than cheating. So keep an eye out if they start to do these things because if you want to save your marriage you need to communicate with them before they completely check out of the relationship. If they start to share less of their day with you or they want to spend less time with you then please speak up. Becuz after that its pretty much all down hill. Once they're doing 2 or more of the above mentioned signs/changes then the relationship is usually over for them. Good luck 👍

Yes Brad, I read what you have written to me and it does make sense. In my life in relationships. I have never cheated and I wouldn't know how it feels to cheat? But I as an individual wouldn't take that approach to cheat. Two wrongs doesn t make a right! I feel if someone cheats one needs to ask the person is to why did she or he chose to cheat? Its got to be a reason for their actions? From there if one wants to save their relationship is to talk it out and work it out. But if one doesn't want to by them giving excuses for their actions and refusing to admit that they are at fault then I honestly feel that it is best to move on!

If you suspect your wife/husband is cheating and you know they are about to "leave for the majority of the evening", go into the car right before they leave and write down the mileage. When they come home write it down again. Then ask them where they went too. You should be able to figure out if they are lying just by the mileage. if you wait for a bit and you see a similar pattern like 42 miles etc every time than you know there's a good chance they are going to the same place (the other guy/gal) meaning the other person lives about 21 miles away. I think you know what I mean. That way if they say they went some where only a few miles away you know they are lying.

The truth is, a person can still be in love with his/her spouse but still cheat. Love flies out the window. I think the only way to make sure your not cheated on is to marry someone who has a very strong sense of commitment, who makes a big deal about integrity and honor. Fact is, love flies out the window in many marriages but if your spouse is the type who values commitment as much as love, chances are that person will do anything and everything to keep the marriage intact.

Emerson Guhiling Not necessarily. Men seem very interested in marriage and having a family. Once marriage takes place and a beautiful woman is their wife, everything starts to change. Infidelity seems like a dominant part of most people, nowadays . However, it’s the most valid legal reason for taking a spouse to court for a divorce. But sometimes cheating is so hard to legally prove.

If they cheat on you then they will do it again! Oh, they will say it will never happen again, but it will. If a man REALLY loves a woman, she is all he can think of, all he wants, he feels he can't live without her! That's how you will know if he really loves you! And the sad part... if he cheats on you, and if you stay, he won't respect you, and then the next time he is tempted it will be easier for him to cheat again!

May I also add- They will also take vacation days (you dont know about)- AND leave early OFTEN (keep an eye on the cashflow and hours worked if you can) They typically conduct this during the WORK DAY. Also they will make up "courses" they have to take. They will pre empt a "getaway" story (your gut will be off) it will have TONS of details or be VERY vague)...something like " oh ya I have this course they want me to take next October (but Im not quite sure if Im going or not yet" )..-this is so they can check the other persons schedule if it matches AND throw you off "suspicion" by telling you ahead of time its for "work" - also they will begin working weekends out of the blue and lots in a row. . Improvement of hygiene, listening to different types of music or different movies they never liked before or going on a diet - oh and I got this one 2 days ago ( his new "Co worker" stopped in (LOL) and gave the owners wife (On a Saturday..... so she wasnt even "WORKING"-also Im told the male owner is the ONLY one there on a Saturday) - some bread she made AND he said "Ya Ill take one too" (basically baked goods given by "customers" / or "co -workers" ) - basically he wanted to eat her "baked goods" (in MY house) and made up an excuse ahead of time where he "got it" (which probably was NOT at "work")- Also- different kinds of alcohol than they usually drink (they will tend to MIRROR the other persons language as well).

I start arguments, but I'm not cheating. I just want my husband to spend more time with his family. He makes excuses to leave the house and won't be back for hours when it used to never take him that long. He's being very distant, very emotionally withdrawn. I ask him if there is someone else he hesitates. I don't know what to do. We've been together for 5 years we have a 16 month old son. It's hard.

If your spouse was having sex relationships before marriage and before meeting you it is difficult to not having an affair while being married. You only think how is going to be with a different person and continue to compare sex partners all the time. I have found for myself is when you start noticing small differences, such as distance, limited eye contact, edgy, smug, appears to be thinking of something else when you talk to them and does not respond, like a blank look on their face and you reiterate the question. No intimate exchange of conversation, such as,"are you ok? Is there something on your mind that you want to talk about, or what's going on you seem diffrent." Out of the clear blue they make mean, cruel, and hateful remarks, I knew something was up and they wanted out of the relationship. Time to cut your losses and get out. I went to no contact mode and never spoke to them again. Wasn't even going to ride that marry go round again. It was time for me to let things be and move on.

My daughter went over to her friends house and witnessed her friend treating her father and step mother in a horrible way. I sort of brushed it off because sometimes kids are brats. A few weeks later my daughter comes home and tells me that her friends father had gone on a dating website looking for another woman while still being married. It all started to make sense. The worst part is, now my child has been exposed to a cheating couple and the effects that affair is having on her friend. My daughter started to tell me she never wants to get married because men and women cheat and I'm so sad that she has to deal with this adult BS when she's only nine. How do I handle the situation with my child without trashing my daughter's friends parents?
@BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 5 жыл бұрын
I understand how you feel as a parent, however, it's important to put trust in your daughter. That incident she witnessed was just a one-off and I'm sure she will experience many more experiences as she grows older, some will be bad but some will also be good. Trust in your daughter to make the right decisions as she grows older. At nine, you're probably worrying too much. But since it's making you uncomfortable, how about setting up her friend to visit your house instead of hers?

It really depends on you both. Most of the time, a lot of people would move on, but a few would still fight for the relationship, so this all depends which side you're on and what your views are. But take into consideration about what I’ve mentioned here, too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2OahX-brrqgrck There is no right or wrong answer here because it is your relationship and it's personal to you. Make sense? Anyway men and women cheat for different reasons, but if you think your ex is worth it and if there's been a genuine connection between you two before the cheating happened, then try to see the roles that you BOTH played that led to all this mess and see once and for all if it can be resolved or not, okay? Really take your time before deciding though and be sure not to make any hasty decisions from an emotional place. Take care!

Ha! My marriage of 20years has shown all of these signs all the way through. Neither of us has had an affair. These could just be the way conflict happens or the way we respond to conflict. Working late for long periods of time, that could just a pursuit of building a business or career and neglecting marriage because life requires you to work hard sometimes will happen. I'm not sure you can point to these things as definitive signs - as you rightly point out. All marriages WILL reach the point where one or more or all of these signs will become real, this is just the way marriage works. Conflict is good for marriage - it is how we become mature people.

That's actually fact #1! LOL. If you take time to review the earlier part of this very video, I never said this is definitive. But it can actually be deteriorating. So you both have to be careful you don't fall into that rut. Take care!

Have stayed for 2 years as I see my spouse is so happy in life and I can’t take that away from them even if it’s to make myself more happy. Cheaters are often people with souls too believe it or not. God knows I need therapy to cope with what I’ve done. It hurts so much looking at myself in the mirror every day

Going into introspection is always a good thing to do. It helps improve yourself too and learn from your mistakes and one day you'll learn to forgive yourself and do better. :-) As long as you're making a commitment to yourself to try to change your behaviour, it should be all right. Best of luck!

Interesting videos for sure ,Ive gone through this stuff 2 times and was so in love that i was blind and both x's were real good at hiding and having an affair.... Ive learned that ill be single for the rest of my life..Ok single and sometimes lonely is better than being married and miserable..... If they want a break or so called space by all means give it to them and when they take it you should be smart and go to a lawyer and get started on papers to protect youself....better yet take that time to hide your precious hard earned..$$ and anything else that is valuable to you....Presently when i meet someone I make it clear that this doesnt mean stay for breakfast...Im not mean by no way its instinct of survival....

I understand where you're coming from, man. Yes, it's best to be single than be miserable despite having a so called wife. Perhaps try to be more choosy with women and don't rush into things IF someone happens to catch your eye again? You know what they say, third time's the charm! ;)

These signs are very correct. They start out subtle, then it graduates to your spouse just being a roomate. I had such blind faith and trust, that when the affair was discovered, it shredded me completely. 1 year later, (today) we are getting married again. I take what happened as a blessing, because it took such a horrible event to see how I myself contributed to our decline. I still struggle with trust and suspicions, but that gets better and better over time :) I still feel so blessed to have her as my wife again :)

Really proud of you of turning a major issue to that of a blessing,as well as accept the role that you've played in it (which is what I always encourage people to do). My husband works late on occasion because his job is not a typical 9-5 job. However, some days he cares more about his appearance then others. He does not care if I use his phone the phone is never an issue. However, I get a funny gut feeling that he may have met another female at his job. I have hinted around before in a joking matter that I thought he met someone and he gets annoyed. He really hasn’t given me a good enough reason other then stays late some days to think something is going on but, that gut feeling can be strong sometimes. It messes with ya. He says I’m just insecure and need to stop because it’s annoying. Although, I play the questions off as a joke. Like what’s with the fuzzies on that coat... hug you’re girlfriend today... stupid shit. He sometimes go mia with texts for 2-3 hours during the day or leave mine un read... he’s says I’m just busy. Granted, I go 2 hours after work and he’s like hello... you can’t be busy now that I know you are done work. My emotions go high to low daily and it’s all driving me nuts. I have flat out asked before and he responds you don’t trust me you shouldn’t be with me. Unfortunately, some days seem off and I feel that gut feeling. I can’t pin point anymore what’s what... help~advice?!

I suggest to really take the time to observe first because it might be your own paranoia that's eating at you. There will be a noticeable change indeed. It's also important to find any evidence you can if it does boils down to it. So until then, play it cool and make sure you don't unnecessarily accuse him, even in a joking manner because it can get old really fast. Good luck!

My wife is only concerned about the way she looks when we are not hanging out, or out in public. She looks as frumpy as she can when we go out. But smokin hot for everything else. Is audio proof, still proof. I have an audio recording of my wife sleeping with another man, in my house, in my bed. He's fricken friends with my dog's!! I'm so incredibly lost right now. Life literally has lost its purpose and all meaning. Oh, and she will NOT be confronted. She blows up and gets very angry and emotional if I even broach the subject. Being in this situation is the most mentally fierce and evil thing I have ever been through. Praying to Jesus constantly for a resolution, or for Him to just bring me home.....I'm ready, this has destroyed me. Every fiber of my being has been demolished like a skyscraper.....

She 1000% denied it!! Like cried in bed for an hour later that night. You are right, she has not been my wife for a very long time. I pretty convinced, that this guy has been coming in my house for a very long time and stooping my wife. The thing is, I've forgiven her. But can never trust her again. Funny, I've been doing all these "signs" to my spouse but I'm CERTAINLY NOT cheating. Never looked at anyone else since we're together. But on the other hand, he did ALL OF THESE to me before and yes, he cheated. Caught him. So my point is, it depends on what type of person you are. If your spouse cheated then, its your call, leave or forgive. 😉

As I always say, the decision is ultimately up to you. You know your situation and your ex best. Sometimes a relationship can be salvaged and worth the save but sometimes it isn't, especially if there's cheating or some other type of abuse involved. It's your life and it's your decision.

That means he's stuck with the same underwear for the entirety of their marriage. They must not have been married for long, then? If they've been married for years, I think it's only normal to buy new underwear every now and then since stuff wears out! :-) I say the probability of him cheating isn't really that high... unless you noticed all the other signs as well.

Sam Robinson yep I agree with you when one cheats and destroys their marriage or relationship with their partner is the wrong tactics in living life. What's the sense of having a soulmate if your soulmate is going to cheat what's the real reason to be with you? When you're single, you can do what one wants to do cuz you are not committed with anyone. I've been married once but I was real lucky to have a good man in my life he did right all the time and I made him happy but now he's in heaven due to the fact that he died of renal cancer. I am so afraid to get married cuz of what I hear of what goes on with other couples that their marriage or soulmates are too busy cheating. They like to have their cake and eat it. So I remain unmarried as a widow that I am I'll stay as a widow.

I need advise so hopefully I can get it here. I am 19 years old, yes I know I’m young I’ve been with my boyfriend for 4 years, had my first daughter with him and is now currently pregnant with twins. I have started to seen differences in the way he acts with his phone, everyday and night when he isn’t using it he turns it off, he has different lock codes on all 3 phones. I’ve caught him a few times texting different woman which in case I’ve tried my best to talk to him and tell him I do not like it. He comes home late from the “studio” and still tries to act like he’s not doing anything. I always through a fit but I can never stay mad. It’s just how I am I try to stay busy and not talk to him nor be around him but I don’t have friends/family to do so with .. I don’t know what to do am I am tired.. Please help!

@BradBrowning 5 жыл бұрын
Really sorry to hear that. There's no easy way to say this but the answer is is to move on, especially if your ex doesn't seem to be regretting their actions and asking to get back together. Someone asked me the same question as you and here's what I told them, refer to the second question: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3fKlGh8bqiea7M Take care!
