Thank you for this video. I have been using a single needle Husqvarna embroidery machine for 3 years now. I have a 15 needle machine that will be delivered tomorrow. I started my LLC last year. This is the year I am really going to put in the footwork to build my business. I work full time. I turned 60 in September, and started this because I love it and plan to have my business help supplement my Social Security when I retire. I look forward to watching more of your videos

I bought an embroidery business the beginning of 2024 from a family member who was ready to retire but had built up loyal clients and did amazing work for them for years. I was so intimidated to take over but she spent a few months letting me shadow her. I’m going to say, your advice on here is spot on! There is so much to an embroidery business if you want to be successful. And NEVER stop learning is the best advice. I have come to your page, in fact, to learn. So thank you for putting this out there and sharing so much of your knowledge with those that are seeking professional and sound advice.

Thanks for being here and for your kind words! That's great you were able to purchase an already established business. Having a loyal clientele starting out is huge! That can take years to build.

I just ran across this video by chance, I have not seen your videos before but I absolutely love your attitude! None of that "woo woo crap, we are going to put in the freaking work"! I am currently just learning and only doing embroidery for personal but you are inspiring!

Good advice but I would suggest that if anyone is planning on buying a machine that will require payments make sure you can make the payments before purchasing this way if business is slow you can still make the payments. This is what I did. I also made sure I didn't have any consumer debt when I purchased my multi needle. It took me a couple of years, but in the meantime, I had 2 single needle machines and serviced a certain clientele. Like I said, this is what I did. 😊

@@allaroundgifted yes, that's exactly what I said in the video. I advised to make sure your personal finances can cover payments if you have a slow month ☺️

There are ways around HOA.s. There are a lot of places in Mesa, Temp basically the phoenix metro area. You can pay a small fee to have you business based in an office, without having the rent of the entire office, 75 bucks a month for some of these places. You can find places with a real person to answer the phone in your company name, get shipments picked up and dropped off, some have rooms for meetings or a conference. Check your local craigs list. The hoa people can't walk into your home or look in your vehicle as you pack or unpack in your garage,

Definitely some HOA's are more lenient than others! People need to make sure they read all the rules before purchasing any equipment and planning to start a business from home. That was what I wanted people to take away most from that segment :)

I personally don’t want to start a business. Mine is more a hobby. I have a SE 1900 and want a multi needle machine. I’m still researching and deciding what to buy. I do tell my hubby mine is for hobby I don’t want to spend a lot. Your videos are great. Just wanted to watch to support your channel. But this is a great video for people who are starting a business.

Which Bobbin do you get on for your EM1010?

I have a couple of EM1010s. I buy my bobbins in bulk at Allstitch. I have never bought the Filtech magnetic bobbins. The plastic, sideless, and paper back bobbins work just fine. The bobbins are L size and I also use them on my Brother and Babylock single needle. Machines. Hope this helps

I LOVE my fast frames! I just checked and unfortunately they're not on sale right now and I don't have a special code, but the Ricoma site does offer Shop Pay. If you click the accessories link in the description of the video it will take you there :) If you ever want mighty hoops, you can use my code STITCHNV for free shipping!
