A sole proprieter is the only person who owns a company and their personal assets are tied to the company (aka if your company gets sued because of a product malfunction they can take your personal property such as cars, house, and any other belongings that can be liquidated to pay for the plaintifs awarded sum and court costs) where as an llc is a limited liability company which allows a separation from personal assets and business assets.

Tina, I opened my small business because you inspired me. I saw you on Instagram and I love your content and what you do. I use Shopify and I used one of their templates when I started. It was easy but I found that taking product pics and deciding on photos was the most difficult for me. I don’t ship to Canada, yet. That is something I’m terrified about. I’m just beginning. I mostly sell to locals and people that I know. I’m going to try loading more to social media and see where it takes me. Thank you for sharing all that you do. Great info. starting a business has its ups and downs. And if you don't have a physical product to sell, you can start off with a digital product where you won't have to worry about shipping and handling. I teach my audience how to do just that.

Thank you for sharing! Even since you got Bruce's shark tag my business has evolved and grown. At the start of April I lost my job again, I was laid off end of Jan and then got hired and then laid off start of April. To say the least it took a toll on me but I just started pouring myself into my business. I really love how involved your parents and family are and find that such a blessing for you. It can feel very lonely when it is just you that believes in yourself. But always appreciate your videos as they make me feel not so alone. 💖 I'm attempting to take my focus to KZbin since short form just feels so fleeting but I need to get better at filming 🤣 Also YES YES YES on thinking about the name and expansion. As an artist, many people use their name as the brand. But I knew that I didn't want it to just be my name for expansion purposes which is why I came up with what it is today. Though admittedly my KZbin is more about me as the artist and not my brand.

9:40 the PO Box it also depends on the size of the PO Box a lot of them are the size of a shoe box maybe double depending on the mail office. Some will call you if a big package shows up some will not. They will assume you know it is there and maybe set it aside. You will sometimes get a warning and if you get so many they will close it, like if the PO Box over flows. We’ve watched a lot of small businesses and this is from them not our personal experience. So, using a permanent building address like your house is best.

I started with shopify and found it really good but I stuggle to figure out the behind the scenes stuff. I also had trouble with shipping due to Australian post was only available as 3rd party due to my address being just out of the sendle area. They are shopify Australian default. I have struggled also and am having a break from it all at the moment. I make homemade products with essential oils so figuring out how to send oils was a mission also. You have great advice thank you I'll be following you.

If you are having problem getting approved for a business or personal loan because of your poor credit you might want to consider hiring a private loan attorney and also a credit expert, that knows the exact funding option that suit your business. My credit was very poor around 400 I never thought I would still be able to get approved for $156k business loan to finance my business project. Great info! I’m a solopreneur selling imported Indonesian handmade products online in France n I also use Shopify. I’m thinking about using CRM n that kind of printer, this video confirms me to use it. 👍🏼 I only laughed so hard to myself when she said 400 sq feet (37.2 m2) apartment as a tiny apartment while I’ve just left my 8.3 m2 (89.3 sq ft) tiny little palace after more than 7 years living there.. 😂 shower box, kitchen n dining table beside the bed, no need to walk to grab something lol. The sharing toilet was the old dirty squat colonial era toilet in the corridor.🤪 If you come to Paris with no money and don’t even speak French at all, you know well that mine isn’t the worst, I was lucky I could get that one..💪🏼 I’m finally able to move to a bigger studio 23m2 (247.5 sq ft) with a real toilet, still smaller than her tiny apt, but it already feels like heaven for me lol.. Welcome to Paris! 😎 Paperworks are famously complicated here especially for the non-European people like me, but I believe that creating a small business here with almost no money n no degree is still possible for everyone who is open to learn n keep going no matter how hard others try to stop or pull us down. I see more business opportunities especially after Covid. Good luck for all of us n our businesses! 💪🏼
