6 Things I'm Glad I Did Before Marriage

I've noticed a difference in my attitude when it comes to my single season. I'm in my late 30s and I don't feel any anxiety at all. I'm at peace. Do I ever want to marry? Sure, to the right person, but right now I'm content and focusing on how I can improve myself so I can be my best self when I meet my future groom. :)

I am grateful that I became debt free before marriage. I also quit a stressful job 6 months before my wedding. That bold move strengthened my faith in God.

Unlike most who probably watch I am much older. 44 recently out of a broken engagement to a covert narcissist who was constantly trying to obliterate my very being. That point about having your heart broken is real. I often wondered why I had to go through such a emotionally and physically abusive relationship. The answer is simple. To draw me closer to Christ. I have been out of that relationship for 5 months. In that time I have developed such an amazing walk with our Heavenly Father it literally blows my mind. I've invested myself into myself for the very first time and let me tell you it is EVERYTHING! I'm not rushing. I've actually done some traveling and will be going to Israel in 2018. I'm involved in my church and kick started my music career again. I'm not checking for any man and THAT feels TOTALLY AWESOME. I'm a self proclaimed Jesus Freak and their is nothing better. I use to miss the Good Morning Beautiful texts but now I look in the mirror without my wig or make up and say it to myself. Lol. I'm a Fairy and a Super hero. When I'm found by my Chocolate Honey Bear he will be very happy. Because he will be marrying a woman who is whole, separate and unique in the Lord. Amen! Shout out to the over 40 diamonds. Harmonee Abraham Your comment is awesome. I’m 47. Never married. No kids. I was ushered to Christ when I met a few guys and in the process of getting to know them things w not south. But God.... I am in an amazing relationship with God. He has blown m mind with what he has done. I’m Finally living a rewarding relationship with God.

Wow! This video tremendously blessed me as it was confirmation that I am heading closer to where God wants me to be. I left my job after months of hesitation with nothing lined up. I finally got over getting my heart broken and I am about to leave my hometown and move to a new city in 2018. My relationship with God has grown exponentially since I have left the job and my faith has gone to some new levels! Hi Ashley!! Im currently taking your bootcamp so I'll DEFINITELY take advantage of the Institute next go round. The bootcamp has really been an eye opener for some things I didnt deal with or realize about myself. Girl we have a similar testimony. Went to many missions in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Finished school got a bachelor degree travelled for work so awesome. Single time was great got my heart hurt and lead me to enjoy my singleness amd Christ centered it litteraly changed my life for the best. Met my hubby right when my single season was so comfortable 😊. God shook me a bit to transition into a new season and met my wonderful hubby thru a mission trip like ruth and boaz while working for my Lord.

I am currently in this season and I am enjoying every moment. When you mentioned about walking by faith to fulfill your purpose and how you were afraid of leaving your work place, I was dealing with that a few weeks ago and the lord kept telling me he is my provider and several confirmations. Next year I will be working on my business and going to school full time. I am excited what this journey have ahead.

Hi Ashley. Thank you for this video. I graduated college last year and I actually left a job a few months ago and didn't have a job lined up. I knew there was more out there for me. But like what you said, I went back and forth for months! I thought about leaving for graduate school and was looking at schools and even forced myself to think that was my reason for leaving and shared that reason...but I knew there was more to it than that. I was shocked when you said that...I'm still waiting for the next opportunity but I know for a FACT God allowed this to happen for a reason...There is something He has for me to do (which may or may not involve even more schooling).

Jay Bee i did this and i had nothing but 400$ to my name with two children and i stepped out on faith and prayed and i just knew God is who He is and i would find something soon. He is a Provider. He is our provider. he will provide.

I want to encourage you Karlette... As a single woman myself, I put in my resignation over a month ago and my last day was a couple of weeks ago. Although I cannot say that I hated my job, because I enjoyed what I did, it was a lot of work. I found myself doing more "job related" things all the time, which is not what I truly desired. Honestly, God revealed it to me back in September that I needed to leave my job. He revealed that I would be relocating to another state, which I'm preparing to do now. I do not have a job lined up, but I one purpose will be ministry there. For me, I know that His plan is better than any one plan I could ever create. :-) Over this past month, God has truly blessed me, and has given me peace, I cannot even explain. I encourage you to read the book of Proverbs for wisdom. Pray and fast! I will lift you up in prayer as well. I hold onto the scripture, Psalm 16:5 NLT..You, Lord are all I have and you give me all that I need, my future is in your hands! Be encouraged!

Becoming The One 4 Him Thank you so much for the encouragement! I will definitely read the book of Proverbs and continue praying. Honestly, I feel like I know the answer, I'm just struggling with taking the step. I actually did a 40 day fast back in August and it was an amazing experience!!! God definitely revealed some things to me when it comes to my purpose. Since then, I've been busy putting a lot of things into place such as writing my first book and starting a KZbin channel. I'm super fired up about it, because these are things God instructed me to do over a year ago and I've finally said yes. My issue with my job is, I love my career, but the current job is stressing me out!! So much so to the point where I'm physically paying for it. I'm under doctors care and physical therapy right now for ortho related issues that are worsened due to the working conditions. Problem is, I need my insurance, but I also need a break from the stress. I'm sorry to pour all of my business on you like this! I will definitely take your advice and continue praying for guidance and discernment. I know my health and well being is what's most important. Blessing to you as you relocate and continue following God's direction. ❤️

Hi, I can understand where you are coming from. My life is really too busy to incorporate all of it. I think what you can probably do is identify the key aspect of each and try to find it the best way possible. E.g. With furthering studies, the main focus I see is broadening one's knowledge. There are online courses you can do for free. Another e.g. Internship, I see networking as the main focus. You can network in many different fields. I developed a skill through youtube(free of cost) and got involved in a women's organisation (free of cost) and developed worthwhile connections there(free of cost). Where there's a will there's a way! All the best to you.
