Great advice! There is nothing like having the peace of God! I haven't felt that peace yet with guys that I have talked to (try to get to know). I usually see the red flags early on.I agree that having a relationship with God is important with discerning if a person is for you or not.

How do you strengthen your relationship with God? I always hear people say they get a word from Him or vision but I have never and I really yearn for a relationship with the Lord, to actually know Him!

Hey lady! You strengthen your relationship with God by getting into the Word, reading your bible more as a first step. It's a huge key factor in learning and discerning God's voice so you'll know when He is speaking to you. Attending church services regularly and becoming apart of the community of the church, like joining up in Women's Ministry there for instance. Another huge tip is talking to God daily and prayer. You must set aside daily time to chat with him, it can be anywhere or at any point in the day or night, just uninterrupted time specifically for him and you to bond. I recently came back to Christ back in 2014, 2015, it's been the best decision i've ever made, changed me forever. Also, ask God to show you your purpose in life, what he wants you to be doing with your life, you'll be so fulfilled and blessed once you know. Somewhat similar to human relationships we desire that the other do nice things to us. When you read the Word, start doing what He says. Don't stop at just being at a church building only like many do and I have done in the past. Be a doer of the Word like visiting the sick, helping the poor, the Great Commission, orphans and so on. I learned that way you grow more in love with God and it prepares you for a content, blessed, and fulfilling relationship with Him no matter what happens in the earthly realm.In due time, He will speak to you on whatever He wants you to know

Dear, first of all b sure of ur SALVATION, if u r not then confess Him as ur Lord nd surrender very part of ur life. Then read ur Bible EVERYDAY, maybe starting with a devotional will help u. Then have a conversation with Him EVERYDAY =PRAYER. We often just talk nd make our requests without shutting up nd listening to what He has to say, dats not prayer. if u do all these u r home n dry ND soon u will get used to His voice nd leadings. Late to reply. But absolutely "yes" - each of us answers to God individually. I have been in a situation where the guy thought I was his wife (ie: he had peace), but I had zero peace.
