Since I work from home, I purchased a walking pad. I am not coordinated enough to type and walk, so at the top of every hour, I walk ten minutes (about 1250 steps). That gives me about 10,000 steps when I log off for the day. I also have dumbells and lift 5 days a week.

I lost over 300 pounds. It has been a journey in many ways. I've learned alot along the way. But the one thing I focus on the most is my emotions and spiritual well being. When I stepped on the scale years ago and saw that I was 605 pounds, I thought it was over for me. I was a person that gained weight no matter what I did. But that extra 300 pounds I gained came from not living in my truth, living with an abusive boy friend, and daily feelings of guilt over not going after my goals. I heard a voice say to me, God doesn't care if you look good in a bikini, he wants you on your life path. I got help, became a Holistic nutritionist and stepped on my path as a spiritual counselor so I can help others heal and live after weightloss. I'm glad I did. I'm glad I saved my life.

I'm a terrible emotional eater and was recently diagnosed with an eating disorder (though I knew I've had it for years) I moved from H-town to Austin and lived with my sister for 5 years. In that time frame I went from 170 to 214. I went from rarely eating out to doing it everyday apps, entrée, and dessert. I get so depressed every time I think about it. Recently I've been trying to lose the weight and it will not move. Because of that I started binging really bad. With my therapists encouragement, I finally booked with a registered dietitian that focuses on eating disorders. Seeing this video has also reminded me that I need to include God in this journey as well. I just really want to love myself and get off some of these meds I'm on (most likely due to weight) Sorry for the novel!

That over 30 weight loss journey is no joke, but that over 40 journey is something serious. But baby from what I hear, that over 50 journey is not for the weak. It’s best to get it under control BEFORE you reach that menopausal weight gain. Also, I love beast mode exercises, but as we age it can have the opposite effect. Just getting more steps, walking and being active can do wonders for us as we age

This video is helping me undo everything I thought about weight loss. I recently started my weight loss journey at the beginning of the month. So far I have lost 15-20 pounds. Unfortunately, I have reached a point where I’ve plateaued. The last week I haven’t lost anything. I have been following the Keto diet but I feel that it is unsustainable. I have done very well with it but I worry about when I’ve lost the desired weight, how will I keep it off? The macro calculator you provided was kind of a shock to me. I have definitely had to change my mentality toward exercise and fitness. I used to be a beast in the gym, but now at 40, I've noticed some perimenopausal symptoms that make it very difficult for me to work out to the same level that I did when I was in my 20s and 30. So now, fitness consists of full body lifting two days a wk, plenty of walking and maybe one fitness class a wk. (Zumba or spin) This has definitely made my symptoms much better. The biggest transition has definitely been mental.

Let me jump in here again. I'm all for meal prep but I do that by shopping and only buying what I'm going to eat. But! Remember to start your engine. That means starting your digestive system. The digestive system starts with looking and smelling food. If you are not prepping the food, cooking it then eating it, your digestive system is not warmed up. Snacking just forces food and it gets digested in your intestines which takes 3 days! So use biters on your tongue before lunch or before eating. I use dandelion drops but you can use whatever you want. If you struggle with cravings or appetite control, take MCT oil capsules. They help with fasting too.
