We lie to each other about how much people actually mature and learn after high school. Young fools become old fools. Most people don't really change from who they were in high school. The people I know who were irresponsible with money in their 20s are still irresponsible in their 30s. They haven't learned from their mistakes. When it comes to "know-it-alls," I would be wary of anybody who was a first-born child or was hand undeserved rewards in life. These types tend to walk around with a false sense of accomplishment due to being told how "great" they were as a child. They routinely talk out of their bass and think they know more than they do. Ironically, it's the know-it-alls that tend to know very little since they don't seek out knowledge, believing they are already knowledgeable.

Mature men, 1) make the world a better place by serving and protecting those in need, 2) keep a middle path by not getting too high or low, and 3) keep self improving whether it be physically, mentally or spiritually.

If men and women would be the same, act the same, think the same, feel the same... there would be no balance in society. Its like there would be only one weather season, the winter the whole year. the nature wouldnt grow. Men would feel like they fall in love with a man, the exact "picture" of himself. But men and women may have lot in common, for example sense of humor, humility, compassion, love for sports and hobbies. Man and women create a balance for each other, she brings him down in loving way, down to earth, to his natural state, makes him smile, and he as stronger human, lifts her up, gently, as nice flower, he is making her more confident by lifting her up, or inspiring her. Because testosterone makes men more calm and problemsolving and focused. while estrogen may make women stressful and anxious, which is healthy in some situations. estrogen makes women to notice some stuff, whether the baby is healthy. He is embracing her vulnerability, the things that she isnt as strong or experienced. She should embrace his vulnerabilities and together transform them in healthy way. There are two types of vulnerabilty, healthy and unhealthy. Its seems woman represents mother nature, she is supposed to support him in some way, gently, and he is representing some rock, or creative individual, and together they craete a couple. Both are creative in different way. Men are technical, mathematical, women are intuitive. Buth both are intuitive in different way. Men also can be sensitive. Because for example men musicians, or guitair players use to have very easy peronality, and sensitive personality too, because music is emotional thing...So it seems like men musicians are as sensitive as women, but at the same time masculine. Maybe therefore some women fall in love with musicians, becuse they are able to be sensitive and react properly in the right way, but at the same time to be masculine. Some men musicians havea lso very good relationship with theoir mother.... and with parents. So teh women react to his very natural state of personality and sensitivity. while men who work in other jobs, dont want to be very sensitive,, or they were not growing up to be sensitive

@@alenaadamkova7617 agree with you completely, with maybe a couple of caveots. Testosterone definitely doesn't make you calm. Very much the opposite. It makes you more aggressive. But we learn early on that it has to be controlled and our rage has to be redirected to more positive outlets, like sports or hitting the gym. Women like male musicians because, well, it's manly. It shows that you aren't intimidated by what others think. And if you can charm a crowd with your music, it shows that you're a dominant, competent leader. And if you have even a small level of fame, it's a status symbol for her, and it gives her validation that she's attractive enough to deserve that guy that all the other women are looking at. And finally, we definitely don't feel love in the same way. It's always conditional and transactional when a man receives love.

Thanks, Courtney. Great advice! I tell people 2 main points when searching for Mrs. or Mr. Right: 1) Be yourself - Just be yourself; if it works out, great, and if it doesn't, that's great too. Don't waste your time and other peoples time pretending to be something that you're not. 2) Rejection is good - Rejection is good, it might hurt for a little while, but it frees you up from wasting time with that person and getting on your way to finding your soulmate. Plus, sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder... I would take it a step further especially if the person is a lot younger than myself. I would bruise their ego. A person that is really in love with you will not just walk away from you over a bruised ego.

The Thing is that al lot of women or maybe society in genreall think o mature men is somebody who is always an adult and that is pretty lame. You can be a absolut mature man who is selfreflected, is intressted to learn new thing and still has a sense of humor of 14 year old boy and laughs about stupid jokes and if you want wear a Band or Anime shirt. Cloth dosent make you more mature. How you act in conflict situation or by trouble shoting or interact with people (family, friends, partner, kids) that shows how mature you are.

Spot on with all 6, and I have naturally been good at all of them since birth. With all due respect, I would like to add a number 7 to the list. Learning and Growth: Yes, learning and growing are extremely important. I have done everything in life alone simply because when I see a tall mountain, I want to know what's on the other side. I end up climbing that mountain alone simply because everyone else around me is too scared to join me on the journey. The metaphor here is that most people are too scared to learn and grow, so I end up doing it all alone. But it's fine! I’m the one who acquires new knowledge and skills while everyone else is stuck and left behind. Consistency and Consideration: The irony is that learning and growing make you better at having consistency and consideration. Responsibilities: This is really more about not putting yourself in a situation you can’t get out of. For example, criminality and felonies are much more common among men than women. I’m a guy who has NEVER been arrested, apprehended, or convicted of anything simply because I know what not to do to avoid ending up in that type of situation. Simply put, don’t be ignorant. Emotional Regulation: I often get the feeling that people want me to be the solid rock. When a fire alarm goes off, people panic, and I immediately know that EVERYONE will cling to me to be the steady one who guides everyone to safety. Communicate Openly: This one is easy. Just don’t lie and communicate the main objective. Choose Your Circle Wisely: For me, this means avoiding certain types of people and having nothing to do with them. Cartoon characters belong on TV, not in your daily life. Avoid being around people who act like cartoon characters. AND NUMBER SEVEN IS... All these mature qualities are EASY to learn and practice because they come naturally when you cut off and let go of the things in your life that make it hard to live a mature life. It’s not like earning a black belt in karate, where you advance by levels. It’s simply about cleaning up and getting rid of the clutter that obstructs your peace and tranquility.

1. Open To Learning & Growth - I am more than wanting to learn more and grow and better myself. 2. Consistency and consideration - I try to do the best I can for consistency and consideration. Prioritizing relationship with a woman look if some people don’t understand…. If a woman is medical fragile like my girlfriend and has to go in and out of hospital then that’s how it is I have to be mature it I am and but well balanced relationship will never happen especially if someone is in and out of the hospital that’s their life I cannot change something like this and if it turns out to be that way like I said I cannot change that and if normal people don’t understand this then maybe need to re-read this. 3. 3.

Maturity also includes knowing when the walls in life are far too high to scale, weighing the costs and benefits of any given situation, and walking away when said costs will be far too high in order to achieve the objective. It’s accepting the times when defeat is the path to sanity and safety. That’s not a “poor me” admission to the world…that’s another definition of maturity. Some things in life are simply going to take far, far more than give.

But if I don’t know how can I improve it for her. It is about the way you say it though some women see that as a weakness and then want to use as a means of control. There should be give and take. Being late is something I hate. Never met a women who could be on time. I dated a woman who was always 2,3 or 4 hours late. To drive home a point I told her to be ready at 8 pm because I wanted to get there by 10 pm. We did not leave until 12 am. That was no respect for me. I am never late because I get an upset stomach if I am late. I hut a deer on the NYS Throughway I called the wife told why I would be late. Her response was you will probably lose your job. When she was in an accident I asked Are you okay? And I got cursed out. Communication is big for me and you are right about it being a bigger problem for women. If I am in a conversation and its not going well I use humor to get out of it. I have been around smokers all my life my wife had heart surgery and continued to smoke I never did. Totally agree peace life it to short. I do not have time for maturity, drama, chaos, and I would add lies.

Just because you're an adult, doesn't mean you're a man. A mature man must show up every day and push through life's challenges. Who else, but you, will help change the culture of apathy towards manhood? Thanks for another great video, Courtney.

Big Fan Courtney! Been following for quite awhile now! Just wanted to say I miss a bit of your content where you speak/interview others. The engagement with other people adds another layer that seems to be missing a lot more these days. I’m sure it’s a lot easier to do reaction videos But I think you’re possibly missing chances to not just interview women but potentially other men about the topics you discuss. Think there is obviously a place for the types of videos you’ve sort of fallen into lately. But it might not hurt to broaden the production horizons a bit. Just my two cents. Keep up the great work!

One problem I see with these discussions is that no one can really agree with what the definition of ‘maturity’ is. Just last week I listened to my boss say his granddaughter’s boyfriend is immature because he doesn’t have a couch. I wouldn’t really consider that to be immature, but I also don’t have a definition of mature.

I doubt most people are going to read this since it's too long. Yeah I'll always be angry and bitter and resentful that I didn't have my first girlfriend until my early 30s, around 32, me and her are not together anymore though. I know I've spoken to another guy like this who has a similar story who says he never had a girlfriend until he was 30, he has the mindset that if he was born a woman he would not have been alone and single that long. I remember one guy said this to me and he really pissed me off when he said to me: "Why would you be bitter once you got what you wanted? Even if it took that long why does it matter? You can still enjoy the fruits of your labor now" Because I didn't get into my first relationship until later than normal that's why I feel angry bitter and resentful. And plus being a guy, how the dating game has always been different for men for women in which I know I'm not the only guy that has this mindset and that is men always have to be the ones to put in all the work and effort in order to land a girlfriend or in order for a heterosexual relationship to happen or start. It's like men are the only ones that have to know or learn so many skills and behaviors on how to attract a mate but not the other way around. I get more mad and angry that people in society say that men are not supposed to view that as work or a burden as in men always having to be the ones to take the lead and Court women and lead the interaction, I will never understand why men are supposed to enjoy and embrace that role. Should be obvious as to what I'm talking about, yeah and I get even more pissed off that people and Society say that women also have to learn dating skills on how to meet men or how to attract men when it never will make sense to me since women don't have to do jackshit to make a relationship happen. Speaking of my lifelong hatred of men always having to make the first move all the time. Didn't happen for me around the time people normally have their first relationship. I get very angry and pissed off whenever people and Society have the mindset that it's better to be a man. I remember another guy said and he only added fuel to fire which made me more angry and pissed off when he said: "Boo fucking hoo. We also don't have to go through child birth and we're strong as fuck. Testosterone gives us ambition + mental and physical strength that MANY (not all) women are lacking. Being a man has many benefits and with great power comes great responsibility. Stop crying about it and get your fucking shit together" Let's just say he pissed me off so much that it's not appropriate for me to say what was on my mind when I read that comment. Yeah I don't understand why a lot of people have the mindset as to why it's better to be a man at the end of the day. Yes it does truly feel unfair being a man at times. It only pisses me off even more when people say "thats the way it is, or so what?". it just fills me with a lot of anger and rage. Yes I already know and I'm completely aware that there's no such thing as fairness never has been never will be but it truly does feel unfair being a guy at times. Whenever people and Society make the arguments as to why we should feel thankful and grateful to be a man it just fills me with a lot of anger and rage. For example comments about what that one guy said above about testosterone. It really pissed me off a lot. When people say to get a sex change that just makes me more angry because a sex change is obviously not normal or natural because people who do get sex changes still retain elements from the gender that they were naturally born. Yes despite how modern medicine and surgery has occurred in today's modern times for modern world even people who do Transition and get a sex change still are not naturally automatically the other gender.

Isn't "emotional regulation" really just a euphemism for stoicism? Women often say they want men to show their emotions by making themselves vulnerable, but once they do, it's almost always a turn-off because it indicates an inability to remain level-headed when encountering adversity. Let's be honest: a man's typical communication pattern looks like a straight line from point A to point B, whereas decoding a woman's speech is like navigating your way out of a maze. Men are much more blunt communicators while women have a greater affinity for obfuscation.

Woman do everything they can to change a man and when a man does what she wants and say what she want to hear...She do not want him anymore cos he has shown that he is weak, falling for her beauty, putting her on the throne. "Consistency and consideration" It doesn't work with the person who doesn't appreciate your effort. She/he will view you as a nuisance and will do anything to block you off permanently. "A mature man is reliable" -Sometimes, this can be seen as a "yes man", so be careful being reliable.

Not bad, but this is a horizontal, flattened, one dimensional, non hierarchical understanding of maturity. There is a hierarchical, pyramidal verticality to this (or maybe even a circular hierarchy from the center to the circumference and back). On the top/center there is the full aware taking charge of oneself and one's life, and then that aware willful taking charge descends to all the specific dimensions of life, from the more general to the more specific, including relationship and what needs to be done in all the dimensions of a relationship in order for it to work, like some of the things you mentioned, and also taking charge of the common life in the couple and children, not as a dictator, but as an enlightened leader who always gets constant feedback through communication. Then there is a constant feedback looping between those levels, both vertically and horizontally, but always referring to the top/central one in priority. All this also implies gathering information that can help in all those functions. It's not that women cannot participate in this, but this kind of leadership taking charge is more specifically masculine and is part of the development of full masculinity. Such masculinity should include the right woman into its reality, but there also must be constant growth together through the inputs both give to their life together, and constant communication and feedback. This type of growing together can and should increase the masculinity of the man, and the femininity of the woman. One other feature of maturity, permeating it all, is the ability to chose carefully, based on aware criteria.
