I've watched a lot of Pool videos on KZbin, gameplay and instructional. Mick Hill for me, is a level above anything I've seen in terms of breaking things down and explaining his patterns and thoughts. Superb!

He's so good. The snooker version of Mick Hill is the engineer Steve Davis.

The big thing I've learnt here is that "techinque" totally depends on your play, or.. the way you have learnt to hit balls with a stick. A good coach would watch your play and tell you the best way to improve based on how you approach the game.

@@stuartculshaw5342 Mcmanus is a pretty good fit too. I wouldn't mind him breaking my game down and helping me. One of my favorite commentators, so is Steve in fairness.

I've never seen anyone make so many outs without reliance on big shots as Mick Hill. He's a pattern master, aided by immaculate Cue Ball control and strong potting when forced to make them.

This needs to become a regular, long running series. Best explanation of decision making I've ever seen.

Mick Hill is almost as skilled at explaining the game as he is at playing. There's something for players of almost any level here, and it's taught in a way that isn't condescending or riddled with jargon. Outstanding.

My word. Well that's it. I want to sign up to the Mick Hill School of Pool. Does that exist? He understands all eight balls in a clearance; at best I'm seeing four. I need to double my vision. Hey, I'll pay.

A knowledge cue ball shot just shows you how easy pool is. Even a knowledge cue ball shot in snooker is an execution shot. Absolute waffle

I don’t think Kicks are as common in Pool as they are in Snooker. I also think Mick has probably used Triangle Chalk since He picked up a Cue. He has done Very Well with it and doesn’t need to change his equipment. I know some Great Players switch Cue Sponsors, but many more use a Cue they’ve had for Decades, with an Elkmaster Tip and Triangle Chalk I use Triangle which is 60p a Block, as opposed to Taum, at £10-20 a piece. I don’t like the idea of changing my pre shot routine to suit a piece of Chalk and also the technique of Chalking. I always Apply chalk Between shots, which isn’t recommended with the New style Chalks. I would be thinking about how much chalk is left on the Tip during my routine, not focusing on the Shot.

Even an average snooker player would have taken the red down cushion as first shot. Nothing to do with cue ball, not relying on a canon. As long as you trust your cue action, which Mick obviously doesn’t.

Talking shite, You never know 100 percent how a shot will come out, yes you have an idea threw experience, but it’s never ever guaranteed, a frame can go as planned, but the truth is, a frame is for ever changing, plans on taking shots can change, depending on how the frame runs out
