I saw your channel yesterday, 8/24. It was such a blessing to me. Just what I needed so I knew I had to subscribe. God has blessed me with a beautiful restored home after a bad flood in my area. I have been afraid to start decorating even after purchasing many items that I love. Seeing your home has put a spark in me. My favorite decorating tip to save money is one that you touched on briefly...spray paint! I can't tell you the number of decor items in my home that have been just about every color imaginable! It's a standing joke with my daughter and granddaughters. Sometimes they forget and will say they love something but it's not the right color, and then we all break out laughing! You are so inspiring to watch and I picked up one thing in your video that I know I'll use. I've been making dog blankets (doesn't everyone make those?) and I've been using Infusible Ink with the Cricut on the satin blanket binding to put their names. I saw your satin bookmark with writing on it and a lightbulb went off! Thanks, I love watching your videos and for some reason I always end up crying! It's a good cry though.

Renee, yes! Spray paint is one of my favorites. I had a friend ask me to count how many things in my home were slay painted I counted 71. 😬 but it’s saved me so much money. Awww, thank you. I’m so glad you found some inspiration. Oh, I love that you make dog blankets. That’s amazing. Our little Millicent LOVES her blankie. I’ve never seen a dog love one like she does. Dearest Deena, that precious time God redeemed you will be a time you will never forget. I was a false convert and when my life became so out of control, I couldn't understand why God was letting this happen to me. But my heart was not right with God and I new it. A friend came by almost every day or called and just told me of a scripture she had read it moved my heart to repent and truly surrender to our Savior. It took 5+ yrs to pull me out of the charismatic movement, but I was hungry for his truth not for an experience. I'm fully redeemed now and moved out of a false movement that isn't biblically sound. Praise God. My walk with him is precious to me more than ever as I can see it is in you. Your home reflects that love for your family and Christ. A pretty home can be just that but a home created from the heart of a believer brings spiritual beauty, warmth and comfort. God bless you dear friend!

It was nice to know I was with good company in hiding imperfections I’ve gotten on a discount or even with items I love but thru time have chipped, cracked or dented. I like your baking soda paint idea. I think I’m going to use it on some of my outdoor plastic planters.

If you do use it outside I would definitely seal it somehow. I’m not sure how it would hole up to the weather. I did use some plaster on a pot outside and that’s held up great. Good morning! I think the name was Willeys Furniture store. If I remember correctly they didn’t have the king size bed available so we did purchase that at a different store and for the life of me I don’t remember the name at all. @@nanetteprusakowski2058 I just did a quick google search and found one at Ashley Furniture, not sure if you have Ashley’s in your areas. And, I found a brown one on wayfair. I didn’t look to deep there so they might have a black if that is what you are looking for. (I just typed in black sleigh beds.)

What did you do to refinish that ceramic pot? It looks like plaster. What was your process to get it to stick?

Bobbi, I’m not sure what is in this video, it’s been a little while. But, I am assuming it was painted with craft paint that I mixed with baking soda. I just painted it on like I would any paint. It has done great at staying on. I still use them all today. I hope that helps. Have a wonderful evening.

I am so sorry for all the typos in that last response. I was try to do to,any things at one time. I hope it made some sense. I am sure it was painted with the paint and baking soda mixture. I love using that method.

Waiting is a great tip. I also say, "LORD willing". BTW, My print of The Storybook By artist William-Adolphe Bouguereau (1825-1905) in a lovely frame, was purchased at a thrift store in Winchester for $12. It hangs in my French provincial furnished bedroom of my 84 y o mountain home...where GOD allowed me to move. Once a city gal - now after many years of waiting & praying...a transplanted mountain gal. I moved to a very lonely, rural & beautiful mountain in Nov. 2018. I rarely see a stack of Bibles that comes close to my Bibles or vintage Hymnals. Whomever the LORD directs to this house after I'm raptured or deceased, is in for a huge surprise. It sounds like you are my sister in CHRIST. And I rejoice! I don't believe I've ever had the privilege of hearing someone give a "sincere" praise to God in a KZbin video, as you have in your video. Wow! What a find. I love my piece so much and it means so much more because it belonged to a sweet teacher of mine before it becoming mine. She gifted it to me because she knew my love of French Country decor and was moving into a smaller home on the coast line. Thank you so much for sharing with me. I enjoyed reading through each word.
