On a serious note, it should also be mentioned that training with a percussionist is of paramount interest if one intends to develop the rhythmic portion of the music. One needs to develop a sense for the Tala and it takes time. Listening also helps immensely in this too.

I also think it’s super interesting that you mention breathing exercises. But then again maybe that’s something that’s a common topic of discussion within the fraternity, I’m really not sure.
