Regarding embedding: Can the embedded file be edited? Export out of InDesign perhaps, edited and replaced?

A static caption is used when the caption, like a description, is too long to fit on one line. When you dig into it, the Adobe InDesign user's guide states "When you generate a live caption that displays a long string of text, such as a Description, the caption does not break across lines because it is a variable. If a caption is compressed into a single line, consider converting a live caption to a static caption. To convert a live caption to a static caption, select the live caption and choose Object > Captions > Convert To Static Caption." Great show because you speak your thought process as you go. We can all identify with "oops, didn't mean to do that". Thank you.

Hi, Indesign opens jpg files with Preview App. I would like to open with Photoshop. I can't find in Preferences the way to customize file association. Do you know where is it? Thanks and compliments..
