If you go for air coolers which are branded with honeycomb structure then only you need to clean it once a month on your own, there is no separate maintenance needed for these air coolers. I am saying once a month for reason that if you do not open the honeycomb pads then over the time period they get jammed inside air cooler and the screws also becomes rusty so practically you will not be able to remove it at all - so better to do stitch in time and maintain them regularly.

Thanks for the useful information... I have confusion in choosing Bajaj PX97 and sym i31.. please advise as my room temperature is high due to Asbestos cement ( AC) sheet.. (small room)

I think Bajaj PX97 will be better because of 2 reasons, it has got honeycomb on 3 sides, and power consumption is low as well as CFM is high... Also the price is low. Also since you said that there is Asbestos roof, I want to suggest 2 things 1) Apply heat reflective paint to the roof top, as example amzn.to/36aJSaD 2) at the highest point of the side wall fit an exhaust fan, which will help extracting heated air at top and increase efficiency of air cooler Also like traditional method, you can put some grass over the roof top (as per me, it will be more effective than thermal reflective paint in your particular case) Hope this helps 😊🙋

Actually air flow has to do more with aerodynamic design and optimization of total system including fan blade shape and cooler design. However considering focus in India on such micro aspect not that much I also feel 150 watt is better

yes, I just bought the Anemometer to measure the air velocity (and hence air delivery) at distance as well as temperature, will make video soon. As on now locating coolers with friends since dealers do not allow measurements with water filled inside air coolers

Bldc won't help because main noise from air cooler is from the flow of air happening at high speed through wet baffles... So contribution of motor noise is almost non comparable... Just for info
