Perfect 10.0 notch on second oak tree that you dropped

Thanks, it was a pretty good one. Those straight trees, you have to watch the hinge doesn't get too thin when cutting as the trees can stand straight without much lean.

I made a similar video like this with Mike 2 year’s ago where he dropped a dozen sassafras trees in under 10 minutes

I remember watching that video. Total time was more than 10 minutes. Thanks for watching!

Clearly you don’t need a lesson from a you tube comment but little word for the future, Don’t try cutting a co dominant tree from the base cuz they won’t do what you want. The one you did in this vid went perfect but I thought the littl trunk was gonna take off on ya whene you were notching the face. If it was bigger and leaning a bit, they separate and don’t stay with the other trunks that are with it. They just take off once cut. So basically you end up with a face cut on one trunk, then the back cut trunk has no notch. So by the time you finish your back cut, that stem falls over your shoulder with no holding wood. Then your left with another stem with a face cut still standing. You can chain bind or ratchet strap them together tho. That’s how I do em or I cut the stems separate one by one.

I normally wouldn't cut co-dominate trees like I did the small pine. But that tree was so small, there wasn't much harm in cutting as I did. It may be hard to see on camera, but the total base of that tree was less than 10". The small side was about 4" and the large side about 8". So overall, a pretty small tree. Anything bigger and I wouldn't do it that way. I normally cut one side and then the other. I was just saving some cuts by doing it together since it was so small. Thanks for the advice and for watching!

@@NorthForkHollow I doubt if I would have done it any different. I was just for the sake of conversation I guess being critical.
