That harmonic trem sounded incredible in stereo - what a smart idea with the output jacks being configurable, and you don't have to sacrifice stereo operation if you want external expression or tap. This one is going on my list

Kudo's Pete. Hands down the best demonstration on the MXR M305 Tremolo pedal and I've watched a few. Was not even aware of some of the features. The stereo harm was incredible, yet all the variations seem very useable. Best new tremolo out there for the money imho. Seen lots of comparisons but this sold me. Thanks.

Nice. I recently got a Keeley Verb O Trem Eddie Heinzelman Reverb / Tremolo and love it. The reverb is simple, but I mostly bought it for the tremolo. They're simple, reverb is real simple, but lush, warm; spring and plate, but you have to open it up to switch that. Can go real surf guitar sound with it, country, blues, rock for sure, has a pitch shifting vibrato mode too, like a Magnatone amp has, as well as a harmonic trem setting, which I totally love as well...I find it cool to have it on but not so pronounced too, just like a soft pulse going on in any tone, overdriven (sounds great there), clean, which is why it's nice to control that level, like this one does. That's a good feature to have. Good tremolos just kick ass in so many directions. Love the good ones. That ones sounds sweet.

Been intrigued by the release demos by MXR. Seems like a killer pedal, finally a big brand mass manufactured versatile tremolo pedal with harmonic tremolo. And not an insane price either. MXR tends to kick asses with these. It resembles the mxr reverb on the outside, that quality, more expensive series of mxr pedals with solid feature arsenal. For the past couple of years they've released quite a few solid basic sounds with practical design decisions, either versatility in features or small size, bringing some wanted stuff on the market. Like the small Timmy was a brilliant market decision, bringing out the sought after boutique pedal in mass produced fashion and small enclosure with the original designer, for people who can't wait for him to build a boutique version of it for who knows how long. Been also catching up with missed Tone-Talks in the past years and it's so funny to see you pop up every now and then constantly behind David Friedman in the shop and sometimes say hi. And also guest the show of course. Good stuff man!

If MXR would combine this with there similar size reverb, they would have a strong competitor for the Flint.

That's an interesting idea. I think MXR's M300 Reverb designed by Jeorge Tripps is fantastic. It simply sounds great. My guess is that MXR will stay with the smaller enclosure for now. From what I see they don't opt for larger enclosures. An example would be MXR's separate Echoplex Delay + Echoplex Preamp + Tap Temp switch.

Goddamit, just when I was about to pull the trigger on a Flint. Still, the reverb is very compelling, but that envelope sensitivity option is a dream… Off to look for a spring reverb pedal that has stereo in!

Thanks for the post! Cool pedal... My amp has no Reverb or Tremelo? I have an Ocean’s 11 reverb, and it has a Tremelo function which is pretty good? Not as on the fly, or adjustable. Hard to set a really present Tremelo with a subtle Reverb. Love the dynamic speed control on the MXR, and the options! Really cool features. Have thought about a Flint, the new Keeley Hydra, or this pedal to add to the Ocean’s. The “white collar” issue is, I don’t have any outlets left on my power supply. Already daisy chaining two effects. If I added this Tremelo, I would have to add more power? If I got a two-in-one, I can keep things as they are?

The control switch on mine to chang from the tap, ctrl, audio is incredibly recessed in, makes it hard to really switch without the use of a small screw driver or toothpick. Cannot tell if this is intentional, or a defect? Not sure if anyone else has this experience
@Peetie_Wheatstraw4 жыл бұрын
Hey Pete, is this tremolo in stereo something you could add into a W/D/W rig with the Reverb and Delay, all into the Wet sides?
@JazzRockswithAdam4 жыл бұрын
I'm sure you could. You just need a good splitter that has phase cancelation, and isolated so you don't get ground hum.

Single coil pickups buzz. Not having isolated power supply on all pedals in a chain causes weirdness. Also try a regulator instead of a power conditioner.

The tremolo game ended for me with the origin effects revivaltrem. This sounds decent but still nowhere near the revivaltrem. It is more versatile though so for those not too bothered about having the best trem and prefer flexibility then it seems to beat the Strymon flint trem sounds to my ears.
