The stories from the stalkers points of view are always eye opening. Like… this is an addiction to them, they lack empathy to see just how scary their behavior is, they mistake infatuation with love or they’re obsessed with control. I’m glad the guy is trying to get help, but he clearly has some deeper issues.

Well, I think I acted like a stalker at some point. in short, I was on a trip sitting in Starbucks and started a convo with a girl, she said she would like to invite me to hang out later at a restaurant with her and her pretty friend. I ended up going there, and that friend ended up liking me. We spent a night together, and she was saying how happy she was. The next day I left the city. A few days later I texted her, saying some romantic BS that I would have never said in real life. She was a bit surprised but ok with that. Then a few weeks later, I sent her a text gain, ( again stupid romantic stuff, and said that I will be visiting her city soon, she said ok ) When I arrived ( I went there to see her ) I texted, but she never replied, I texted her the next morning, but her interest dropped, I kept texting and even tried to call her. ( like a creep ) I didn't want to own her or follow her. Just regular dating stuff. A year later, I was visiting the city again and I texted her: "Hey our profile pictures finally look-alike" they actually did. She immediately read it but didn't reply, I tried a few times, but no response. After that, I kinda worked on my game, dated quite a few ppl, ( never did anything like that ) I decided not to follow her on Instagram, or FB, cuz I know no matter what, it will look very creepy now. This is probably the most embarrassing girl-related story I have. ( however I want to say that some guys probably have zero games and get very frustrated when someone doesn't reply, I had a few girls going nuts when I would stop replying ) also many guys aren't being themselves with girls they like, and it comes off a bit creepy ( when they are trying to be romantic or nice ( thanks to Disney )

Story #5 - I kind of commend the stalker in the story for sharing his experience BEING an obsessed stalker. I know it had to be extremely difficult for him to share his story. In the end he sought help from a professional and came to fully realize what he did and has managed to stop that behavior. We rarely get a glimpse into what’s going through a stalker’s mind.

Best way to get rid of a stalker is to shut that behavior down as soon as it crosses the line. Let them know you know the law, and actually do know the law, how to use it against them with ease, and know how to defend yourself with a firearm.
@RetardationAwareness3 жыл бұрын
@ABeautifulLove absolutely agreed, it could definitely be the difference between life and death, having situational awareness. Humans are losing their instincts these days. People need to know how to quickly get away from someone, out from under their grasp, out of a chokehold, or being held from behind, and they need to know when they should be on high alert. I had a close call with someone twice as strong as me choking me with their bodyweight on top of me. He threw me onto the couch with a choke slam and climbed on top of me to choke me, and he was so fucked up, he almost didn't stop. He was blacked out on benzos and I was trying to leave him. The only thing that saved me was having the advantage of having somewhat short legs lol. I kicked him in the sternum over and over with both my feet until he let go. I now know that there are much easier ways to get out of a position like that

For the tinnyyy chance the person might see this, no. It was not cruel that you were overjoyed he offed himself (story #2). Stalkers are cowards so that is the obvious conclusion to the story. (Not saying depressed people who take their lives are cowards. I’ve been there. He’s a coward because he couldn’t take the punishment so he took the easy way out. That’s just my opinion). Anyways, it is completely normal to react like that! He completely destroyed your life.

Can't agree more. It startled me that on more than one occasion an Obsessive Persons Section even existed in some police forces. It's actually exciting to hear that some progress has happened in some places, but it's still got a long way to go. I hope that you're able to find a way to get away or keep this stalker away. I've not had anything as terrifying as your experience, but I did have a co-worker creep on and show beginning signs of stalker-like behavior before people around me were able to help me nip it. So I can at least empathize with how terrifying it is. Best wishes for you

They are not going to help, because it suits their illicit purposes. I submit to you that at least one of your "stalkers," is so to speak, "on an officially deniable, perpetration assignment." You are possibly a "study subject, " easily targeted, and fun to work up with fear. Before you dismiss my assertion, carefully examine your history with both these stalkers, your complaints, any documentation and efforts you have made. Forget "trust in law enforcement," make concrete, self proactive measures in place. Harden the Target, take courses in self defense, keep your car and home secured. Do a "bug sweep" anywhere you feel may be compromised. The rogue Cops delight in handing people off for abuse. No joke. Please take what I say to heart. It could save you the horrors I expererienced. I am Christian, and the most horrible thing is how I always believed the law enforcement folks were mainly good. No, they're not to my complete horror. I believe they will pay for their monstrous tactics. But, it will be in God's timing. Lisa Rae Rousseau ✝️🙋💖

Look at yourself & ask what it is that encourages their behaviour. I've never been stalked & I know exactly why. I'd like to suggest weapons training & martial arts training for self protection. When your stalker realizes you can protect yourself lethally, you will not be such an attractive target.

Wow! Story 5 is excellent. I would highly recommend it. We don't get to hear many accounts from the stalker's perspective. I really don't understand the stalker because, in part, I never wanted to "own" someone. For me breaking up was like, "ok so what is the next chapter?" The fixation part eludes me. I can't really understand that part. I guess the best coping part of life is being content with yourself mainly. In a philosophical sense, from our morality, we really never "own" anything. Life is ultimately about letting go to the next chapter, even death.

It’s definitely interesting but I honestly don’t see it as ‘inspiring’ and ‘brave.’ I see it as creepy. The creepiest one in this, because it’s so alien-like compared to how most of us view relationships and crushes. Maybe fairytales should never have focused on ‘love at first sight,’ if this is what it usually looks like.

In regard to Story 5: It’s certainly interesting being able to hear a story from the perspective of the stalker. I truly do pity them, in a way. While I’ll never understand their need for possession (or violence, if they are denied), I do know what it’s like to confuse infatuation with love. This kind of behavior is a legitimate illness in some ways, and I wish this person the best as they work to correct these toxic behaviors.
@rebecca88663 жыл бұрын
The guy in story #5 is really strong for getting proffesional help for his/her problems and seeing the error of their ways. I'm glad to hear that they sought help and that it seems to be working for them. I wish them well towards their healing and managing of their illness. I have ptsd, anxiety, and depression, so I may not have the same illness as the person in Story 5, but I do have to work very hard to manage my issues with proffesional help, so I empathize with them. The narrator's feelings of "pretending to be a normal person" reminds me of myself because I have found myself throughout life feeling like I have to try my best to pretend I am a normal, healthy, non-traumatized and non-depressed/not anxious person in social settings, when in reality I don't always feel that way, and it can be really hard trying to pretend I'm not anxious or depressed when in real life, I am. Sometimes, the stimulation of being around all my triggers catches up to me and I find myself running away to a bathroom when I'm in a public setting so I can have some alone time to try to breathe and calm myself down, (or to throw up from my levels of anxiety in peace. That's how severe my anxiety is even with medication.) Sometimes I have even thrown up from fear in front of friends and on dates just due to fear. It's never been fun to expereince anxiety this extreme in front of friends and dates or family but thankfully, most have been understanding of my condition and have been kind to me. The feeling of "imposter syndrome" is something I have struggled with in jobs and know far too well. (It's the feeling you get when you are working a job and you could even be doing a great job to where your boss congradulates you for your hard work but you feel like an "imposter".) You feel like it's only a matter of time before they find out you really aren't perfect because you have depression, or anxiety, or [Insert mental health issue/physical health issue/life trauma here.] Many different people can feel "imposter syndrome" and not just at the work place. The person in story #5 sounds like they struggle with that too to some degree and I hope they talk about it with a professional so that they can feel better about their progress. Imposter syndrome can make people healing even feel like they are an imposter in their healing so talking about it with a proffesional is always extremely reassuring and helpful. I hope the person in the story is doing better now and I'm glad they got help for their issues. I hope every person in all the stories in this video are doing better & are safe.

I’m sure the people you stalked were way more hurt by your actions than you. What you got were consequences. What they got was a form of emotional abuse and trauma. It often takes longer to heal from trauma than it does to get through jail sentences (as opposed to prison, which comes with longer sentences), and probation, combined. It will change their ability to trust new people for a long time, if not permanently.

That’s y u should always take it very seriously from the very beginning and tell ppl about it because if it turns out to be nothing that what harm would it do to tell ppl and if it does turn out to be serious then ppl know to look out for that person and try to help u or protect u

Yes big dangervis eventually getting u. It happened to beautiful 71 yr pld lady in s chicago few years. A very sick man whom she met working as a secretary in a prison in 1989. He finally released. Immed found her . Cops forgotvto notify her of his release. Then apathetic lazy cops couldnt bother yo give her some pritection after his girst breakin. Well few hrs later nrighbor heard hun shits. He simply returned after inpatient cops left her alone. Thisctime he killed her. This broke my heart. Ues hatevto say it but timecto have barred doors and loaded gun at the ready.

My condolences to anyone who has been stalked, harassed, abused or other such horrible stuff. I can't imagine the fear, disgust and anger you endured.

I've been stalked by a coloured man for 42 years. Everytime the weather is nice he follows me. When it's bad weather I never see him. Its so bad now I can only go out when it rains

It's very interesting to listen to these stories. Psychology is my favorite subject in college so I kind a get intrigued with odd behaviours of various people. Especially the most sinister ones.

What I don't understand is: why don't cops get the idea that a restraining order is more of a piece of evidence one can use to convict someone after a crime takes place than a deterrent against said crime? You can do a whole lot of damage from however many feet away without getting closer and a piece of paper isn't going to protect you while waiting for the police if that person gets you alone (if you're even able to contact the police in the first place)

You can't have a stalker if they fear you more than they want you, that is you showing them the you are a lot more dangerous than they are. Paper will not stop a bullet.

The story from the stalker's perspective was super fascinating and it is nice to hear that dude got help before he did anything irreversibly deplorable.

The guy in the last story seems like dating material, I think she should’ve just gave in
