Today, I am talking all about abuse and abusive relationship. There are 6 types of abuse that can occur in and out of a relationship. Everyone can acknowledge and accept physical abuse; however there are 5 other types of abuse that many are not aware of. I want to bring awareness to the different types of abuse that happens all the time and people often suffer in silence because they do not know they are being abused.
The forms of abuse that I discuss are physical abuse, sexual abuse, verbal/emotional abuse, mental abuse, economic abuse, and cultural abuse. All or one of these can happen for someone to be in a abusive relationship.

Emotional abuse doesn't have to happen regularly. It can be a one-time occurrence. It's still abuse.

Financial abuse can also happen the other way around. You can be the one to use the financial ressources of your partner and guilt trip them into buying you stuff or supporting you financially, saying things like "if you loved me, you would let me use your debit card" etc.

Isbell Jean yes definitely I agree with, I'm the same I've had financial abuse done to me for 4 years from narcissists parents, its narcissists behaviour, control power, gaslighting manipulation, guilt trips, flying monkeys smear companies, emotional abuse and violence , mind games and definitely bullying and harassment, spying on you to ect. If any of these have happened to you, then you you are dealing with toxic abuse, probably narcissists as well

Is hugging without consent especially after asked not to hug the person a type of abuse? If so, which kind?

That definition of abusive is confusing to me, because if abuse is anything intending to be powerful or controlling (changing perspective, effective, persuading, causing change) then the word abusive is itself abusive? Since calling something abusive is basically a way to get people to view an action and potentially an entire person as bad/not useful? Ever since I was in an abusive relationship (being chased with a knife, angrily sworn at and name called every day because he thought I was doing things I wasn't), ever since then my perspective has been shattered, there is a spectrum of abuse but there has to be a line drawn at some point, calling things "abuse" can become abusive and confusing, at what point is it just regular disagreements that instead of being calm and expressing options and perspectives and goals in order to persuade the autonomy and the positive results that would come out of something, instead just flinging the word abuse as a means to confuse people and maintain our own power and control? You can argue existing is abusive since we innately have little control over everything in our environments. So our options to communicate are to persuade/cause change by force or threat of force, or to persuade by being kind and selling the benefits but being dishonest about the negatives, or to be honest about both positives and negatives which requires more patience and calm to prevent jumping to stereotypical conclusions, painting people as 1D characters of good or bad. Another option, especially if we have been told that it's "manipulative" (read:effective, persuasive) to speak and state our perspectives and experiences or taught that no one will believe or listen to us, another approach is to not attempt to engage is proactive communication and negotiation of human energetic exchange, because we know we can get people to help us if we fall back on calling behavior abusive after events have transpired. The word abusive basically is used to signal help to other people, but we don't have to conceptualize horrible situations in order to get help or be accepted.

I've been through mental and verbal abuse my ex dragged me down the 9 months we were together and he isolated me away from all of my friends and would try and force me to be christian (I'm pagen..) he would also tell me I was a pill popper when I first started taking medication for my depression and anxiety. He would constantly tell me that what I believed in wasnt real, it was stupid, I had no proof, I should listen to him and other things.. he would constantly tell me I was wrong tell me I wouldnt be loved by anyone else but him and he had tried to attempt.. suicide both while we were dating and when we had broken up for the last time. He knew I had trauma with suicide and showed me both times, started doing hard drugs saying its all my fault that hes doing it.. its left me emotionally and mentally troubled.. I have panic attacks and I'll break down..

suspected my husband always texting a lady on his phone , We’ve been married for 18 years, we’ve both been happy together until recently when he switched side and I found out he has been cheating .I explained my story to a colleague at work then she introduced me to this genuine hacker, Darkwebprohacker who gave me access to his phone , I had complete access to his phone right on my own device and I could see all his activities for the past 2 years and also have access to new notifications, his text messages, Facebook messages,location, call logs, and I found out my husband was also flirting on dating sites..I love my husband a lot and I still don’t understand why he betrayed me, I have been a good hardworking wife and never for once cheated on him. I tracked him down and found out he was always going to sleep in another woman’s house with me thinking my husband is always at work for night shift. You can contact this great hacker who helped me found out the truth about my husband at darkwebprohack(at)gmail com or Whats app +19087998357 or text and call them directly on the same number.They helped me get access into his phone without even touching his phone.I have enough evidence against my husband and I am thinking of Filing for divorce.I want advice if I should give him another chance or let go ? We have 2 kids together .. it's a painful feeling but I believe things happen in life it comes as it goes, as it says what doesn't kills makes you stronger

So uh I would like to ask a question let's say a parent/ guardian says that they're going to get rid of your things so that you only have a bed, you'll going to end up working in a fast food place, that you can't do nothing right. And you end up just feeling worthless, and you wanna commit suicide or run away. You almost wanna be isolated from the world. Is that abuse? If so what kind?

Thank you so much! Yes...your teaching on this subject did bless me. I had a blow up at work. I work at a university for campus maintenance. We have a work shop that 16 men have to share. We have 1 computer that we share to log time, document work orders and purchase our uniforms on. There is 1 employee that has treated that computer station like a park bench for over a year. Doesn't use the computer...just sits there and watches TV. I have asked him to let me get on the computer several times in the past. It has gotten progressively difficult to get him to move. He would move, but not without making me feel like a jerk for bothering him. Last Friday he asked me to move because I was blocking his view of the TV. I bristled and asked him to move to any other chair...so he could watch TV and I could use the computer. He would not budge. I blew my cool and started yelling at him in front of everyone. I said this is a work station and I don't feel like getting on my knees and kissing your ring in order to use the 1 computer we all need. Others started making jokes. Sit on his lap and order your uniforms. Any other time this wouldn't phase me. (We kid around a lot) but not this time. It escalated until the boss heard the commotion. He started making it a joke in front of the crew as well, until I told him I want to go to human resources. They trued to intimidate me so that I would back down. They saw that I was adamant and not willing to let this slide. I wanted to understand what I was feeling. Your video was the first one I came to. I had an ahh...soooh moment as you explained. He was told to find another place to sit.😁Finally!!! I feel an enormous weight lifted. Free at last...Free at last! Thank God almighty...I'm free at last😁👍I feel great as a man standing up to this guy and my bosses and the system. They were making decisions without any training in physcology. I wish you could come here and do a seminar. Love you like a little sister. Regards- James

@Abena1709
@Abena1709 3 жыл бұрын
@@sakamidimka4541 you clearly don't understand how undermining abuse is and how it's not that easy "to just walk away", and to say "it's not that hard for a man" really minimises all the feelings and emotions this person is going through. And to say "society won't judge u and harass u forever" is such an ignorant statement because society does indeed judge the victims of abuse, more so in the case when it's the man who is being abused because people wrongly assume, that it's easier for men to walk away simply because they are men. Educate yourself on abuse and the detrimental effects of abuse before you dish out your misguided advice.

In my child hood kids would verbally abuse me like hell sometime turn physically. Parents verbally and emotionally abuse me as well. Neglect. I can say financial abuse too with my mother she was gambler and keep begging for money when I tell her no. I kind of abdopted her behavior when asking my brother for money all the time.

i really cant tell if my dad is abusive or not im thinking not but im not sure, so when i was four years old he'd get mad at us for not doing something or not doing it right so hes spank us with a yard stick. but now he just yells at us. and when i was younger and even now im scared of crying in front of my dad without being hurt, because he'd get after me for crying. so if you know if this is abuse or not please tell me. ty

I agree; sounds like abuse. Makes me wonder if he was one of those older people taught to spank their children as discipline and that crying isn’t okay. In modern terms, this could certainly pass as abuse, especially if he tends to get more than just upset (like mental abuse or emotional abuse where the abuser uses strategies to manipulate or downgrade somebody).

At a base level, but we should be looking from more complex level, behaviours, reasons, deeper human aspect of things. genetics, maybe that person who was verbally abusive simply didn't know how to twist their words and it came out wrong. (aka social disability). to exemplify my point. point is, none of this is helping.. at the top level it comes to this. FEAR or forgiveness? (control or non-control). Because even a system made for connection, non-harm is not excluding possibility that here is imperfection and humanly aspect to attack. which comes to control (in other direction). I have always been firm beleiever that the SITUATION itself should be controlled. not people. Let other people live in happiness. reduce all suffering to none. I would like a system where if people are suffering put their hand up, and help in any way can. (with actual resources, in depth resources which can help), thus saving their life. part of saving life is saving peoples LIVELIHOOD, which equates to the same thing. people are not objects/rats/animals, they are HUMAN BEINGS. in the end is our enemies pain hurts most, not our friends. (Tupac) the one behind the gun. it could be personal closest, and same goes for everyone else too. The deeper picture always comes first, then the simple picture. (deepest the better).

Yes men can abuse men women can abuse women women can abuse men and men can abuse women of course sometimes kids can abuse adults but the adult should be able to stop them and if the kids don't then they should be checked out by some sort of specialist and people can also be the victim of abuse but also be the perpetrators even at the same time yes all of that sometimes happens

This is pretty lightweight I have to say. do away with own hatred and start loving instead. make system no man cann. one where everyone is forgiven and helped, where suffering pain is not a thing anymore. at time we divided than ever. we use technology to prevent these things. that is why we are here... to be like compassionate GOD. (but reduce fear as well), and aspect of high-expectations. for example a device that could detect problematic behaviour and activate so that whoever has problem will be saved by being self- zapped. (help in long-run). reducing thus self vulnerability predisposition to things. The ultimate enemy above all is not humans but living. (Humans should been working together long before then).
